With update 4.2.8 White listing our own IP still not working…
“Brute Force Protection” section still showing:
• Is this computer white-listed: no.@frustrated999
The new version 4.2.8 corrects this problem… no more vertical white space.
So you can put this thread to [resolved]Hello,
You will need to edit some files setting up “write” permissions to r w – r – – r – – (644) by FTP:
• .htaccess file => Delete all rules writen by this plugin from “# BEGIN iThemes Security …” to “…# END iThemes Security”.
• wp-config.php => Delete iThemes Security entries at the begining (if necessary).Try also to delete in your database the tables related to this plugin:
…_itsec_lockouts
…_itsec_logs
…_itsec_tempThen rename or delete the plugin…
i hope this will help you 🙂
Best regards
L..I run some multi-lingual web sites with WPML plug-in, and i don’t have any problem. May be the problem com from your theme or other plug-ins combinations.

Allow iThemes Security to write to wp-config.php and .htaccess.
(then save your config on any “save all changes” button. This allow this plugin writing on the .htaccess file…
I hope this will help 🙂

Can you tell us, please, what have you done to block the access. Thanks.
If you go to the third sticky thread (at the begining of the list) you have a link to report this bug, if you want to…best regards

Have you tried to delete all of the tables made by this plugin (via phpMyAdmin):
…_itsec_lockouts
…_itsec_log
…_itsec_tempThen to clean up your “.htaccess” file of iThemes Security content (enabling first write access) via FTP:
(all code between “# BEGIN iThemes Security” and “# END iThemes Security“)
Same thing with “wp-config.php” file (enabling first write access) via FTP and deleting all entries “…created by iThemes Security…“…I hope that will work

Hello Viktor,
Have you test them together for real, and what about the falcon engine vs other caching systems? Please let us know about your experience, thanks 🙂
