In reply to: [YITH WooCommerce Affiliates] Products In Free VersionHi
Thanks for that info, just one last question, I don’t want to delete the admin user account which is listed in the yith database tables, will this matter or is there a way I can prevent the sign up account from being damaged by the removal of the other tables.
Regards

In reply to: [YITH WooCommerce Affiliates] Products In Free VersionI see, well the plug in was deleted due to some checks and following it seems that the delete did not remove anything from the database tables e.g after the delete scans are picking up all range of yith files and in fact the user names including my own as admin, still have an affiliate process associated with it,
Is that normal or does this plug in not delete when removed correctly. Also all the sign ups which were not authorized following checks have not been deleted either.

In reply to: [YITH WooCommerce Affiliates] Products In Free VersionHi
I had too many bogus sign up’s with this program, mainly yahoo and gmail with email addresses but spam name fields. Currently the decision is to remove this plug in because the products in the shopping cart dont come up in the pages where commissions could be assigned to affiliates.
I did send another tech through on this and that seems to have gone missing so for now it’s on hold in terms of affiliates and a program they could use.

In reply to: Stop Closing Unresolved Tech RequestsTo clarify the statement “certain users will get emails when comments are published”, I gather they need to be assigned a higher level of authority than I currently have word press set to before that occurs, can you confirm what level that needs to be also who are the “Certain users” that will get emails ?
Also when you mention administrators getting an email are you referring to the admin of the lipcrack site ?
You are right I was of the belief that when I update the blog monthly that subscribers were also sent a mail. I’m also aware as part of the business I get fraudulent email sign ups and other such things.
From “wordpress@lipcrack.com” is this the wordpress constructed email working in the background of WordPress that sends the “username and password” function.
I will need to check some facts most of the messages stored on the server inform me why user’s did not get the message however I want to also make sure that the current host does not have something in place which would effect that message reaching its intended recipient. There were a lot of issues when the account was sent up with the filing structure being placed on two IP’s, also with the way SSL was implemented on some parts of the site and not others (due to my request) made difficulties it’s also made the necessity for more checks needing to be done to make sure it does work correclty.
Thank you for that concise update when I installed WordPress I was very aware of it’s functionality which I knew developers were continuing to work on which is also why I decided to go with it. Possibly given all the information you have provided I’m hoping that with time once I change rolls of subscribers they will have more functionality open to them. Do you see that occurring with time the ability for a more user based workable environment? e.g if they want to send a private message to anther subscriber etc, etc.
I will inform you that given I have had to move the site so many times and there were issues with relocating WordPress to some extent initially, as I was not sure how long the association with the new hosting company would last I did not implement a huge range of plug ins although with time most likely I will.
X-PHP-Script: http://www.lipcrack.com/blog/wp-login.php for 46.102.101.180
Briefly could you inform me what IP 46.102.101.180 is meant to be referencing in this message as it’s not one I am familiar with?My only other comment is, I really like WordPress and it’s functionality also its growing functionality. The fact that it’s free is a bonus however I’ve also been on the web long enough to see such endeavors exploited. Lets face it Facebook was developed from another such “Free” development community.Something which does not impress me that much.
Most likely given the current overall “poor support” I have from record labels, radio, etc. etc. I would not be able to afford the cost of my site development along with the additional cost of paying for a WordPress Style site. I use it mainly as I thought, to notify subscribers of track releases and promotions we run. So believe me I do appreciate the free support that comes with it in it’s current form.
If I have any further questions I’ll let you know at relevant times.
Thank you for your assistance in all these matters. I will look into getting a subscription plug in working soon enough after I’ve notified visitors who read the Blog.Regards

In reply to: Subscription Information and updates not being updated. Why ?You’ve made it obvious your going to be as difficult as possible to obtain necessary information in relation to the issues that have only recently emerged possibly to protect your own legal interests.
I will ask one more time for the above question to be answered in light of what WordPress did use to do but now obviously doesn’t most likely for some purpose undisclosed by WordPress. Perhaps you did not understand the information I am requesting.
When I installed WordPress and signed up myself, you get a “New user subscription”, I’ve received plenty of those. My question is in relation to that and the process in which WordPress goes about that being hosted on my IP or domain. e.g doe it send a message to MYSQL which then issues a command for sign up notification to be sent to the new subscriber.
Following that when I update the WordPress with a press release are you informing me that WordPress no longer sends out updates to my list or are you suggesting it never did. In relation to that question the same information is requested.
Can you inform me of the process WordPress goes through in order to send out those notifications..
If that process has been modified in updates to WordPress over subsequent release of the product when and what was changed.Regards

In reply to: Problem with my siteWell that is your issue to deal with in relation to payment for services rendered.
As a person utilizing the service in a commercial sense the fact that it was considered for inclusion into my site took considerable thought.
I do not have to go on about my experiences with web companies and those people developing products for the web.WordPress despite being an organization is still a commercial entity.
So please spare me the “volunteer” bleeding arm hype.I have a great deal of patience which extends itself to business groups that run ethically the moment those ethics are put into a category where legalities of fault lay on the behalf of a business that costs me and my subscribers who can earn income from selling my MP3’s by subscription to my Blog is put in question my patience does not extend itself.
I do not need to hire anyone from WordPress what I can do is investigate the reason why something that was working is no longer working and either get it resolved or persue legal action against the entities involved including the hosting company.
While I have downloaded apps for WordPress I’ve kept it to a bare minimum because I am aware of the issues that will/would arise from installing too many. It is bare bones and connects to the database server. e.g. has typeface and stats only apps.
So again I will pose the question does WordPress install any files to any other directory other than the folder it’s installed to. I know that the SQL gathers the sign up data however the current version of WordPress has somehow installed files into other directory’s. So once again I would like confirmation as to if it does or does or doesn’t do this and if it does when would it be likely to do it. .e.g if the SQL was not available at the time of sign up would it create a tmp space for the data ?
Also in relation to that matter under what conditions would the sign up data not be registered in the MYSQL but be created on the server.
Could that be done by a redirection of some kind?[ Signature moderated. Really, please stop that. ]
PS I am currently trying to establish how long to continue my association with utilzing WordPress if there is going to be constant problems my site works fine without it.

In reply to: Problem with my siteHello
If this inquiry in relation to WordPress cannot be answered in this forum can I suggest that you move it to a forum where it won’t just sit or be disregarded after a period of time.
Your efforts in resolving this matter quickly and as soon as possible will be more appropriate than potential legal redress.

In reply to: Problem with my siteWell thank you for getting back to me I will contact the stats plugin developer running version 0.9.7. I thought I made that fairly clear when I responded to your request for further information.
In regards to your other questions I don’t believe at this stage it’s relevant to the questions posed of your service.
I am currently in consultation with the hosting company again in relation to the mail issues and determining if they have “blocked” anything. In relation to my unanswered question I will ask it again perhaps differently so that you can answer it.
I noticed that WordPress is creating tmp files on my server host with details of the new sign up names. I’m not sure why that has recently started occurring. Is that a recent upgrade of some description constructed by programmers or is it a more serious issue with my hosting company ?
In particular the files are being created in the mail directory where my other mail accounts are in a folder titled NEW and a file called tmp where it is storing account sign up data.
Is that some new fuction or is this a more serious issue in relation to the functions that WP used to perform with no issues.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Problem with my siteI’m using Version 0.9.7 which was recently updated.
The situation in relation to the site hosting and the constant problems which don’t come from my end but occur e.g. When WordPress was update or when the new security certificate was installed.
I started having problems with them about 6 months ago and in fact went to a private third party mail service. However the issues extend now to the functionality and running of my business which at this stage they’ve made it clear they’re interested in taking money for hosting but when it comes to the functionality working so as to bring in income for my business “what ever can go wrong is” conveniently from their end.
There should be no issues with running the mail outs from WordPress via the hosting service and if there are issues I would like to establish why. eg. why isn’t the blog and mysql working in conjunction with each other and why are new sign up mail out’s details appearing as tmp files on the server.
And again I am very concerned about this “additional” folder situation currently appearing via the stats page in terms of the folder structure of the WordPress Blog. I would like some information in relation to that ASAP.
