Because I need to offer the subscription field, I am using JetPack. I wonder if that is overriding the inherent WordPress settings for comments. I am quite puzzled as to why my readers have to be logged in to WordPress to comment. I appreciate you taking the time to offer help.

In reply to: [Clone] WP Clone for New WordPress Site – Posts Not FoundThis problem was a result of the missing htaccess file after I cloned the site. Fixing that problem broke the permalinks. My hosting company’s technical support team was able to repair the permalinks and I now have a fully functioning site.

My WordPress installation is fully up to date. I also added the TablePress plugin and Post Notifications by Email plugin. Deactivating those does not solve the problem, but deactivating Jonradio Private Site does.

In reply to: [My Private Site] Cannot modify header informationI should have mentioned that I checked with my theme’s support forum first. They suggested disabling plugins, which I did, one a a time, and the warning doesn’t appear when I disable “My Private Site.” Of course then it’s not private.

I removed the background image from the Quark site then added the code for sidebar background color in style.css like this:

The problem doesn’t occur in Chrome, Firefox or Opera, but in Internet Explorer letters drop to the next line – no hyphens, just broken words.
Thanks for the quick response on my problem. Quark is a beautiful theme and I appreciate your work in making it available. I plan to use it a lot in the future.
