[Resolved] Paragraph word break issue in front page widget

  • I hope you can help me correct a problem in my front page widgets. I would like the text to left justify as in your demo, but my widgets actually break up words. You can see it here: http:BusDev2013.scsbc.net Thanks.

    That url doesn’t seem to work so I couldn’t see your exact problem sorry. However, if you want to stop the hyphenation of words, try removing the following styles from the .widget-area .widget class in style.css.

    -moz-hyphens: auto;
    -ms-word-break: break-all;
    -webkit-hyphens: auto;
    hyphens: auto;
    word-wrap:break-word;
    word-break: break-word;

    Sorry. Slip of the finger. BusDev2014.scsbc.net.
    The problem doesn’t occur in Chrome, Firefox or Opera, but in Internet Explorer letters drop to the next line – no hyphens, just broken words.
    Thanks for the quick response on my problem. Quark is a beautiful theme and I appreciate your work in making it available. I plan to use it a lot in the future.

    As mentioned above, make sure you remove the following styles from the .widget-area .widget class. That should fix your IE issues.

    -ms-word-break: break-all;
    word-break: break-word;

    Hope that helps 🙂

    Yes, that solved the problem beautifully. Thank you.
