In reply to: Upgrading from 2.0 to 2.0.1I upgraded from 2.0 to 2.0.1 earlier today and it all went smoothly. And I’m suddenly able to ping other blogs – as soon as I upgraded, all the pings I’d sent since upgrading to 2.0 went shooting off across the blogosphere – most were weeks out of date but it’s interesting to find out that they just hang around until they’re released!

In reply to: New themeIn FF there’s writing behind the text of the most recent post – it’s all in white font so is very hard to read but appears to be 2 columns. One says Pages at the top and the other is Archives and has a search box.

In reply to: Feeds not served as xmlI just had this problem and have identified what caused it.
Checked the feed validator and it said this:
Sorry, This feed does not validate.line 1, column 1: XML parsing error: <unknown>:1:1: xml declaration not at start of external entityAs macmanx advised, I turned off all my plugins and then tried it again. Bingo, it worked! I installed two plugins yesterday so switched on everything except those two and the feed still validaed.
In the end it turned out to be Ozh’s WordPress Admin Drop Down Menu

In reply to: Moving from WordPress.com to WordPress.orgHang on, if redrory was asking about how to move from a .blogspot blog to a blog at his own domain powered by WP, there would be a million responses* telling how to do that. Why should it be any different coz he wants to move from wordpress.com?
* ok, slight exaggeration!
