In reply to: [CompressX — AVIF & WebP Converter, Media Replacement] simply lovelyHello,
Thank you sincerely for your outstanding 5-star review. We are delighted to hear that you thoroughly enjoyed using CompressX plugin.
It is important to note that image conversion efficiency is governed by your website’s current server performance, as all processing is executed locally rather than on external resources.
Have a nice day.
Hello,
To verify if the images are loaded in WebP or AVIF format on the front-end, you can right-click on the page images, select “Inspect,” then navigate to the “Network” tab in the browser’s developer tools. There, you’ll see the image format type (WebP or AVIF).
Kind regards.
Hello @mandalnews
Thanks for your patience while we were working on this.
Please note that CompressX is designed to convert and optimize images that reside on your local server (within the standard WordPress file structure). If an offloading plugin moves these original files (JPG/PNG) to Cloudflare R2 and then deletes the local copies, CompressX will fail to perform conversions because the source image will no longer be available locally.
CompressX wraps converted images in a
<picture>tag or use.htaccessrules to direct traffic to thecompressx-nextgenpath. If both plugins try to control the image source code, you may face conflicts that prevent images from displaying correctly.Based on the above, we currently do not recommend using CompressX simultaneously with a media offloading plugin.
However, we fully understand and agree with your goal of using the two plugins together and will definitely be giving serious consideration to developing a solution that incorporates offloading functionality to support this highly efficient workflow for our users in the future.
Feel free to let us know if you need any further information.
