  • Hello,

It sounds like you’re encountering multiple issues related to editing your WordPress website after switching domains. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve these problems:

“I changed the URL of my website and Elementor does not work anymore” – https://elementor.com/help/i-changed-the-url-of-my-website-and-elementor-does-not-work-anymore/

    1. Check WordPress Site URL and Home Settings: Go to your WordPress dashboard. Navigate to Settings > General. Ensure that both “WordPress Address (URL)” and “Site Address (URL)” are set to the new domain. If you made changes, click “Save Changes.”
    2. Update Permalinks: Sometimes, updating the permalinks structure can resolve various issues. Go to Settings > Permalinks, and without making any changes, click on “Save Changes” to refresh your permalink settings.
    3. Check .htaccess File: Verify that your .htaccess file is correctly configured for the new domain. If you moved from one domain to another, ensure that any domain-specific redirects are properly set up in your .htaccess file.
    4. Update Elementor and Plugins: Make sure you are using the latest version of Elementor and all your plugins. Outdated plugins can sometimes cause compatibility issues.
    5. Check Server Configuration: Contact your hosting provider to ensure that the server settings and configurations are correctly set up for the new domain. They can verify if there are any server-level issues causing the problems you’re experiencing.
    6. Check File and Folder Permissions: Incorrect file or folder permissions can lead to various issues. Ensure that the files and folders in your WordPress installation have the correct permissions. Typically, folders should have a permission of 755, and files should have a permission of 644.
    7. Disable WordPress Caching: If you’re using any caching plugins or server-side caching mechanisms, temporarily disable them to see if they are causing the problem. Cached versions of pages might be preventing you from seeing the changes.
    8. Check Browser Console for Errors: Open your browser’s developer console (usually by pressing F12 or right-clicking and selecting “Inspect,” then going to the “Console” tab) and check for any errors when you try to edit pages. These errors can provide more specific information about what might be going wrong.
    9. Check PHP Version and Server Configuration: Ensure that your server is using a compatible PHP version with the WordPress version and all the plugins you are using. Some plugins and themes require specific PHP versions to function properly.
    10. Check Database Integrity: There might be issues with the database after the domain switch. You can use tools like phpMyAdmin to check for database integrity issues and repair them if necessary.
    11. Consult Your Hosting Provider: If you’re unable to resolve the issue after trying the above steps, it’s a good idea to contact your hosting provider’s support team. They can often assist with server-level configurations and diagnose issues related to domain changes.

Remember to back up your website before making any significant changes to configurations or the database. This ensures you can revert back to a working state if something goes wrong during the troubleshooting process.

    Hello,

Elementor is not yet compatible with PHP 8+ version. Please refer to the following document and consider being on a compatible version of Elementor.

“Elementor’s Roadmap to Upgrade PHP Versions” – https://developers.elementor.com/elementors-roadmap-to-upgrade-php-versions/

By the end of the year, our plan is to further increase the minimum required version to PHP 7.4, while upgrading the recommended version to either PHP 8.0 or 8.1, depending on the usage data at the time of decision-making.

In 2024, Elementor will cease support for PHP 7.x versions entirely, elevating the minimum required version to PHP 8.0 or 8.1, based on the available usage data.

Please note that these plans are subject to change based on real usage data and WordPress’s support for older PHP versions.

    Regards.

    Hello Michaela,

I’m sorry to hear that you’re experiencing issues with your website’s “Coming Soon” mode. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve this problem:

    • Clear Browser Cache: Sometimes, the “Coming Soon” mode page might be cached in your browser. Clear your browser cache or try accessing your website in incognito/private mode to see if the issue persists.
    • Check WordPress Settings:
      • Go to your WordPress dashboard.
      • Navigate to Settings > Reading.
      • Make sure you have selected the correct page as the homepage under the “Your homepage displays” section.
    • Check Theme Settings:
      • If you are using a WordPress theme, there might be theme-specific settings related to the “Coming Soon” mode. Check the theme options or settings panel for any options related to maintenance or coming soon mode. Disable it if found.
    • Plugin Conflict: Sometimes, other plugins might interfere with the settings you’ve configured. Deactivate all your plugins and check if the “Coming Soon” mode is still active. If it’s not, reactivate your plugins one by one to identify the conflicting plugin.
    • Check .htaccess File: Ensure that there are no rules in your website’s .htaccess file that are forcing the “Coming Soon” mode. You can access this file via FTP or your hosting provider’s file manager.
    • Check Hosting Control Panel: Some hosting providers offer their own maintenance mode features. Check your hosting control panel or contact your hosting provider’s support to ensure there are no server-level settings forcing the “Coming Soon” mode.
    • Cache Plugins: If you are using a caching plugin, clear the cache or disable the plugin temporarily to see if it resolves the issue. Cached versions of your website might be showing the “Coming Soon” page even after you’ve disabled it.
    • Database Check: If none of the above steps work, there might be a setting stored in your WordPress database causing the issue. You can check the options table in your WordPress database using phpMyAdmin or a similar tool. Look for any entries related to the “Coming Soon” mode and delete them.

Please take a backup of your website before making any significant changes, and ensure you have the latest version of Elementor installed.

    Best regards,

    Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Elementor. There are a few troubleshooting steps you can take to resolve the issue:

Check Elementor Settings: Make sure you have set the page layout to Gab 0px. https://prnt.sc/J74i_8e3Q9oJ

Check Theme Settings: Some themes have their own layout settings that might conflict with Elementor’s settings. Check your theme settings and ensure that there are no predefined layout settings causing the issue.

Clear Browser Cache: Clear your browser cache and try accessing the page again. Sometimes, cached stylesheets can cause display issues, and clearing the cache can help resolve them.

Disable Plugins: Temporarily deactivate all plugins except Elementor to check if any plugin is causing a conflict. If the issue resolves after deactivating plugins, reactivate them one by one to identify the problematic plugin.

Check Custom CSS: If you have added custom CSS to your site, review the CSS rules related to the containers and ensure they are not overriding the styles applied by Elementor.

Inspect Element: Use your browser’s developer tools (right-click on the container, then select Inspect or Inspect Element) to inspect the container element. Check the styles applied to the container and see if there are any conflicting styles coming from your theme’s CSS or other sources.

If none of the above steps work and you are using Elementor Pro, consider contacting our dedicated support on our website. We can provide specific guidance based on the details of your site and settings.
