Normally, the settings wont show up once details are changed and saved or it has the correct configuration already.
Please check instead if you have the correct permissions on your folder as this might be the reason.

Chrome, IE, and Mozilla seems to have bypassed this and is the reasom why its not getting an error but safari does and thats why its displaying blank.

i have tried disabling the plug ins but didnt help. I tried using as well tweenty sixteen but still didnt help.

Try checking the wp-admin folder. I got also a customer having the issue after upgrading to the newest version. Screenshots below are all the files that should be in the wp-admin folder.

2. Make sure as well you have the right table prefix on the webserver and also in your wp-config.php

About not able to log in after resetting. Change the password instead by going into the database (using phpmyadmin). Read the link below for the instructions.

WordPress.com and org are different things (though they are alike).
If you wanna reset the password, you need to go to
http://www.empty-nest-addiction.com/wp-admin
There is a lost password there, just follow the instructions and this will let you reset the password. Once reset, you can just get back to http://www.empty-nest-addiction.com/wp-admin to log in to your dashboard.
If you have reset the password that way, you may look for another option by reading this forum below,
