In reply to: Can't Access Network Admin in 3.3You had to say that. I tried that last night. Didn’t work. I tried it today. It worked. I’m confused. I love WordPress, but honestly sometimes I want to pull my hair out over it! LOL. Thanks for your help.

In reply to: Can't Access Network Admin in 3.3The first one. I’m simply clicking on the link that is there. Is there some way for me to change that? Does the www matter?

In reply to: 3.1.1 multisite Network Admin error During Upgrade@ipstenu, you made me laugh. That was pretty funny.
I hope it was a server issue. Otherwise, I’m afraid that this will happen again the next time I have to upgrade.
Is there a book or something I could read to help me understand WordPress better? I’m a writer, not a programmer, but I’m willing to learn. I love WordPress.

In reply to: 3.1.1 multisite Network Admin error During UpgradeI heard back from my host. He claims that there is an issue with WordPress. He fixed my installation, which means he dealt with the redirect issue. Everything is working now, and I clicked the link that said to update. The link that was saying update went away.
One thing I did want to mention is that even though I couldn’t access the Network Admin, all of my sites were working (I deleted the cache to make sure.) In each admin panel it showed that each site was running on 3.1.1. and I could see all of my sites.
What I’m saying is that it’s possible for everything to be working except for the Network Access. I wish I had better information on this so it could be used to help others solve their problems.
To those of you who worked on this with me, thank you sooooo much. You’ve been really wonderful. I really appreciate it.

In reply to: 3.1.1 multisite Network Admin error During UpgradeOk. I did all of that. None of it worked. I’ll just wait to hear from my host. If I have to, I’ll just find different web hosting if they won’t fix it. I worked too hard on those sites to give them up! LOL

In reply to: 3.1.1 multisite Network Admin error During UpgradeCould this also be causing a problem?
define(‘WP_CACHE’, true);

In reply to: 3.1.1 multisite Network Admin error During UpgradeThe domain mapping plugin is inside of the plugins directory. I figured since I renamed the plugins directory, since I can’t get into network admin, that that would take care of it. Do I need to do something else?

In reply to: 3.1.1 multisite Network Admin error During UpgradeMine looks just like that except for it has these three lines in it:
define(‘WP_DEBUG’, false);
define(‘SUNRISE’, ‘on’ );
define(‘WP_ALLOW_REPAIR’, true);Does that mean anything?
I did contact my host to ask them about it. I gave them the error from the Chrome browser as well.

In reply to: 3.1.1 multisite Network Admin errorIpstenu,
By your request, I have started a new thread for upgrades. I answered your question about the MU plugins folder.
The thread is here: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/311-multisite-network-admin-error-during-upgrade?replies=1#post-2050500
Thanks.

In reply to: 3.1.1 multisite Network Admin errorI sent a message to my webhost. I’m all out of ideas here. My sites are working. I just can’t access the Network Admin, and it won’t go to the upgrade page so I can upgrade my sites. It just hangs up. Not sure what else to do.
Thank you to all of you for your help. I really appreciate it. I will let you know what my web host says. Might help others.

In reply to: 3.1.1 multisite Network Admin errorAndrea, no, I can’t. I did what Ipstenu said to do. That was over an hour ago. After I reloaded everything, I clicked the upgrade link. The message at the bottom bar of my browser says: “Waiting for http://insertmydomainnamehere.com/wp-admin/network/…” It’s been that way for over an hour.
I did check my error logs yesterday. Nothing. No error log in the public_html file.
Basically it’s just hung up. I can’t get it to go to that page anymore. I’ve had no blank pages.

In reply to: 3.1.1 multisite Network Admin errorThat’s what I mean. I’m running one install to run a network, but it also saves me a lot of time and allows me to focus on writing (I’m a writer, so that’s my favorite part, writing the pages.) Sorry I wasn’t clear.
Can you explain the MU plugins thing? I set up my network after WordPress 3.0 came out. I never used MU. Are you talking about plugins I used network wide? Those are all inside of one plugin directory. I don’t think I have anything outside of the plugins directory but I will look. Thanks for your help. I’m willing to try anything.

In reply to: 3.1.1 multisite Network Admin errorI did all that. I renamed the plugins directory because that was the only way I could get to it. Most of my sites use the Twenty Ten theme already. The ones that didn’t, I changed to Twenty Ten while I was testing.
I don’t understand why there has to be this extra step. It worked fine before. I thought the purpose of running one install of WordPress was to save you time. This is just making me pull my hair out.
I got the same error in Chrome btw. I got a database error in IE. Anybody try Firefox?
