In reply to: Pink on Placid’s theme for my siteOk well i dont have a firefox browser lol. But ill download it to see what you mentioned so i can fix it. I always use IE so i was making sure it worked with it good. But it does need to be viewable on most common browsers. Thanks for the input! =)

In reply to: Sidebar Position Problem, Help!Well you took something out that messed it up. Im not much on css so you can do what i usually do. Put the original code back in place and take it out a piece at a time to achieve the look you want. That way if you take something out that messes up the page you will no what you cant remove, LOL. =)

Im not familar with that template layout but is Navigation and sidebar the same thing? Whats the navigation doing? I see two seperate lines on saying to go left one to go right?

In reply to: my new WP and bbPress siteI used IE 6.0 and it opened fine for me. Looks nice but i agree with trying to make the Forum blend in more with the site layout. And i dont like flashing ad’s. But other than those two things i like it. =)

In reply to: index.php references goneHmmmm i wasnt aware that wordpress used .htaccess to do things. Mine didnt come with a .htaccess file to upload when i first installed it. I was adding a hack to my WP when i accidently uploaded the .htaccess for the hack into the main directory making it look for that scripts main page therefore not loading my index page giving me a DNS error……

In reply to: index.php references gone1. index.php will not load as the default for the directory i installed wordpress in. I get a page cannot be found error. There is nothing but the wordpress files in the directory.
The above problem i had two days ago. Its a .htaccess problem. You need to open your file viewer in your control panel for your hosting account, if you have that, and look for the .htaccess file in your wordpress main directory. Open it up in a file editor or just delete it if you dont plan on using it. Once you change that your index page should start working again. This took care of my problem.

In reply to: wp-photos vs. exhibitThis is supposed to be used as a Gallery to right?? Which file do you call to bring up the Gallery?? Is it exhibit_full.php ? Everything else works for me im using 1.1d on Version 1.5 of WordPress. I havent looked at the “gallery” but inserting images into my posts is easier now even if i have to type in the word /images/ where it supposed to be, LOL

We worked as Mod’s on another free webhosting company ChromeHost.com till it changed admins and Aim decided to open his own hosting company……and i followed lol. Hes cool and yeah its worth giving it a shot. Its not as if it will cost you anything , LOL.
