I managed to get the update info and links to reappear. I had to disable all plug-ins. The updating info and links came back. I then re-enabled all plug-ins, and it continued to work as expected.

I am still interested to know what might have caused this.

What I’ve since figured out is this. It would appear CF7 can’t deal with my form template using the same field twice. I don’t recall that being an issue a year ago, but for sure seems to be the case now. So I’ve gone about constructing my form in a more convoluted way, which seems to now be working fine.

Actually, ignore the above message. I realised I can simply hide the “form-container” div instead. This way the form hides, and the message displays.

Thanks for posting this script and instructions. It works well.
The only issue I have is that using the previous method (which doesn’t work due to depreciated functionality mentioned by OP), the success message would still display. The form would fade away, and success message would show.
Using the method you have suggested, the success message also gets hidden after submission.
Is there a way to get around that, and still display a success message?

Thanks David. I’m very glad to hear this was a Sliced Invoices issue, as the other (paid for) plug-in so far as very poor support. 7 days, and still awaiting on a response.

I will test your update now.

I greatly appreciate your quick turnaround on getting this resolved.

There’s another issue occurring, which I might as well post here in my existing thread.

When I have a plug-in called “ACF for Woocommerce” active, and I use the Sliced Invoice quotation checkout / payment option, the finalise order breaks. The order still goes through on the back end, but on the front end I get a white page with the following code appearing:

Any idea what might be the issue?

Is there any chance it’s something that can be corrected in Sliced Invoices, or is this likely to be 100% the fault of the other plug-in I’ve mentioned?

The issue doesn’t occur if I use a different payment method, other than the Quotation one I set up for Sliced Invoice.

Hi Andrea,

WP_DEBUG is set to false.

The server is a VM. Unless strict standards are on by default, I’ve not turned them on. But I’ll double check they are off.

It’s on PHP 7.1.15

Is the plug-in coded for 7.1 and/or 7.2 compatibility?

I found this thread, after posting an Issue report on Github.

What you’ve written here seems to address the issue I have reported. However, I am wondering about which data from /proc/meminfo is most relevant. I see it reporting:

MemAvailable: 1363144 kB

Based on the memory usage reported by top/htop, and also by the monitor on my server, the MemAvailable appears to be the more accurate indication of RAM available. It’s the one that matches top/htop and the server RAM monitor. It shows that 684968 is in use, which is about 33%.

This matches what TOP shows:

KiB Mem : 2048112 total, 310804 free, 385364 used, 1351944 buff/cache
KiB Swap: 0 total, 0 free, 0 used. 1349148 avail Mem

and HTOP, and the RAM monitor (on Digital Ocean dashboard).

Perhaps your plug-in needs to use the MemAvailable number for its calculation?
