  • If “Soon” isn’t soon enough for you and you’re interested in slowing it down to any speed desired you can just go into the Plugin Editor in your WordPress Dashboard (Plugins -> Editor) and then choose the “Easy tesimonials Manager” from the dropdown in the top right-hand corner and click SELECT, then find the plugin file “easy-testimonial-manager/js/jquery.bxslider.min.js” in the dropdown menu of files there and merely edit where it says speed:500 and adaptiveHeightSpeed:500 by upping both of those numbers from 500 to, say, 25000, or whatever you desire for speed and then click Update File to save your changes. There may be (most likely is) a better way of doing it, but that worked for me. Once the plugin author(s) updates the plugin with the hardcoded changes it will merely write over your changes there. No harm, no foul. Hope that helps!

    An updated version of the BuddyPress Gifts plugin. Cool! We did try out the older version(s) (original and rebirth) a while back, but it, as you know, has a few problems.

    Any update on this? I searched through the repository, as well as elsewhere, but couldn’t find anything else on it.

    We’d be happy to test out the Pro version for you as well if the offer still stands. It would be perfect too because we are just about to start implementing the ultra cool Achievements plugin.

    A big thanks to the folks for adopting this orphan – yet again!

    Same problem here, Multisite and BuddyPress 1.6.1, though we’ve had the issue dating back to BuddyPress 1.5.7, and, perhaps, before.

    We’ve tried different combinations of plugins, deactivations, etc. without luck. With WordPress HTTPS activated, our problems arise from the secondary (lower) search box, and the secondary tabs (in other words, not the navigation tabs or the search box in the header, those seem to work just fine). When you attempt a search, or even click on one of the tabs the little wheel just spins and spins, doing nothing. Now, when we deactivate the WordPress HTTPS plugin all is well again, though not so well in IE when all of those nasty SSL notices start popping up!

    We love the plugin, thank you for creating it, but we just don’t like that it seems to break a lot of the essential functionality on our site.

    An Ajax/jQuery issue I assume?

    Hello damon1212,

    You can do the following to solve your “line break” problem in the default WordPress text widget;

    you may have for it.<p /><br />
    Remember to always give

    The text given above is, obviously, for example only and is the end of one paragraph and then the beginning of another. Notice that I did enter a “return” key after the <p /><br /> HTML tags to start the next paragraph.

    Also, do NOT check the “Automatically add paragraphs.” square with the example fix above.

    As for a hyperlink, I believe it’s just the regular HTML formatting, as in;

    <a href="http://www.yourwebsitehere.com/">your link anchor text here</a>

    Other formatting issues? You mean such as bold, italics, etc? I suppose it depends on what kind of formatting you are attempting to do, but I would think that simple formatting (bold, italics, and so forth) would work just as good as the example fixes shown above work.

    Best of luck to you,

    Inkblot
