Alright so it took me a bit of time to test it out but it’s done now.
Multisites are indeed supported. Which means that each of your authors could have their own site and publish to steem using their own steem account 🙂

The plugin is active at the site level. so everything will be posted to the same steem account.
There is currently no plan for an user activation but there is a plan to add a custom footer for a post so they can write their usernames.
ALthought after hearing about your use case, we could add an option to grab the poster’s username and add it at the end as a signature.
