Would it be possible to add the ability to make SteemPress use optional on a per-post basis?
This is a highly requested feature that will come very soon ! (In a week).
edit : after re-reading are you talking about converting the shortcodes etc or just posting the article to steem ?
Even better would be a global setting to post or not post to Steemit by default.
Well you could disable the plugin, if you’re talking of some filters so that posts with x category do not get sent then that would be possible too although it’s not a priority at the moment.

Thanks for you feedback, basically we have an always expanding list of shortcodes to be removed and with time we remove more and more of them. Since a lot of plugins add custom shortcodes it’s hard to find a complete list for all of them so we rely on user feedback for that 😀

Yeah my bad I went a bit too fast there.
I updated the server (no action is required on your side) to now remove nextgen gallery shortcodes.
I added having a real handling of the galleries (displaying the images) to our todo list. So it’ll get done at some point but since it’s a huge feature it probably won’t happend before some time.

We are constantly expanding the plugin’s feature so feature suggestions are always welcomed 😀
1) What do you mean by “mistake with the permlink” ?
The ability to see and stop the transfer and the delay are on our todo list, although it’s not a priority so I can’t really give you a date for when it’ll come.2) So you’d want to have shortlinks instead of the full link on the “posted from my blog” line ?
3) It’s planned 🙂

The issue is that steempress only recieves the post’s content, so to us galleries are shown this way :

For now.
We are looking into solutions for this problem to try to retrieve the urls if we stumble upon a gallery tag.

We actually see quite a few users with the same bandwidth problems.
It would be great if you its possible to select that steempress posts every 10,20,30,60 or 120 minutes.
Like grouping all of the posts that went on during that period ? It wouldn’t work because the bandwidth would still be used.
We are still brainstorming solutions for that problem. But at some point if you post like 20 articles a day and your bandwidth only allows for 5, then the unpublished posts will pile up in our database.
So we are looking into alternative solutions like filters to avoid posting everything, only posting posts with specific tags or categories etc.
