In the next update (1.3.3) which is coming very soon, there will be a category filter so that you can pick which categories you want to see published and which you want to see ignored 🙂

It’s doable, but could you tell me which front ends fail to display the images ? Steemd doesn’t display the images on purpose, so it’s the normal case.
Busy.org and steemit.com seems to do it fine.

As for the json metadata tag, it’s weird, he seems to be using the image tag (that I include) just fine :

I think the issue is more that if you don’t use featured images on your blog, then I don’t tag any image in the blockchain resulting in services like this one not displaying images, which should be fixed soon enough 🙂

Can you provide me with the steemit link of the article you’re talking about ? If the image is not being displayed then I’ll work towards a fix next week.

Yes it’s actually intended, we only post types that are “posts” :

It’s intended because usually pages are like “contact” or “about me”, not something that people would want to see published, or if they want to, it’s a one time thing and they can do it directly. What is your use case for pages ? we just thought it would be more conveninent for users but we can definitely remove the “post type check”
But from my understanding you got confused by the “publish to steem” checkbox appearing although you selected pages. I’ll look into ways of making it dissapear if you select pages or addind a warning.
