In reply to: [Membership Plugin - Kadence Memberships] Starts to show adsHello @petknu !
Our plugin does not display ads. If you’re seeing ads in your account, then they’re either coming from another plugin, or your site has been compromised and you should get in contact with your hosting company right away.

In reply to: [Membership Plugin - Kadence Memberships] Unprofessional SupportHi @pdomnicks
I just wanted to follow up and make sure you received your refund. As Elise mentioned there was some kind of technical issue at first and from our end it seems as if everything was finally refunded but I’d like to make sure you saw the refund on your end.
Looking forward to hearing back,

In reply to: [Membership Plugin - Kadence Memberships] New update is a bare disasterHello @4tegs,
Apologies for the delay here. We’ve had some internal things to deal with lately (lost a dev to another company, and a support rep was out for awhile).
Good news is we’ve hired another dev (and the old dev even agreed to help us onboard the new dev) and our whole support team is now back and ready for action!
I know it’s been awhile, but have you learned anything new about your issue? I think you were probably right about there being some conflict with a plugin, did anything come from that hunch?
Looking forward to hearing back,
-JamesHi @lgiguere
I’m sorry you had a poor experience. Unfortunately, we lost our developer (he’s fine, he just received an offer he couldn’t refuse) and one of our support reps was out for over a month for personal reasons.
We’ve tried hard to keep up during this transition but obviously, we missed the mark.
The good news is, our support person is back, and we’ve hired a new dev! Our old dev has even agreed to help us onboard the new dev!
I hope you’ll consider giving us another chance, and maybe give us a chance to improve that 1 star rating =]
I’m sorry you’ve had a poor experience, but for others reading this review, it’s worth noting that we aren’t in violation of Stripe’s terms. obertscloud is simply upset that we don’t have a particular feature that they want.
“they want me to pay for an answer for something they are supposed to provide as part of the Stripe API”.
We’re not required to provide anything, and if you’ve already paid for Restrict Content Pro, then you’re entitled to our pro support. Otherwise you can come here for free support of the free plugin.
This is how WordPress plugins work.
If you have an actual issue with the plugin we’d be happy to work with you to troubleshoot it. If there’s a feature that you’d like to see added to the plugin I’d be happy to bring it to the team for consideration.
I think the best way to go about that would be to upgrade to Pro and use our AvaTax add-on: https://restrictcontentpro.com/add-on/avatax/
Otherwise perhaps you could try and manage that inside your stripe/paypal accounts

In reply to: [Membership Plugin - Kadence Memberships] WPML SupportAt the moment no, but you’re kind of right as it is something that’s already on the roadmap and was planning to be worked on by the folks at iThemes before they lost their developer.
This will likely be one of the first features we work on once our new developer gets up to speed.
Hi there!
“Unfortunately you do not answer support requests.”
Well, one of our support folks has been out for about a month, and we haven’t had a developer on staff for awhile so support hasn’t been as responsive as we’d like. But I know for a fact that we’ve already had more than one conversation with you about this, so it’s not completely fair to say that we don’t answer support requests =]
While we are not required by law to offer a payment descriptor, I can definitely see how this would be a good feature to add, especially for folks who have one stripe account with multiple websites.
We recently hired a new developer, and he’s working very hard to get himself up to speed with the code base. Our old developer even agreed to help onboard him, which is fantastic news for us and our customers.
We’re currently working on his first release which will include a simple bug fix, and then we’ll start working on other bugs and adding new features.
I’ll get with the developer and talk about how difficult this feature would be to implement and then get it on the schedule.
I don’t have an ETA of course but I can promise that this will be added to the roadmap. I also have a stripe account that is used by multiple websites so I can see how this would be very useful.
Thank you for your patience, don’t give up on us just yet!
Once you create the membership, you can go to Users and click on the new user. Somewhere on that page is a password field. You can click a button to send them a password reset email, or you can simply set a password there, and then send them the password.
You could also just direct people to go to the login page and click the “forgot password” link.

In reply to: [Membership Plugin - Kadence Memberships] statement descriptorHave you tried editing the descriptor in your Stripe account?
Go to your Stripe Dashboard > the Cog icon in the upper righthand corner > which brings you to Settings > Account Details > Scroll down to Public business information > below support address you will see a meta box for Statement Descriptor and Shortened Descriptor

In reply to: [Membership Plugin - Kadence Memberships] statement descriptor@obertscloud My apologies for the delay.
Things have been a bit of a whirlwind behind the scenese lately. Good news is we’re actively working to grow the team and focus on some things that have been sadly neglected as of late.
I’m not sure if there’s a snippet that can be used to accomplish this or not. If there is I’ll share it as soon as I find it. Otherwise I’ll bring this up in my next meeting with the dev team.
Thank you for your patience!
