@ dwinden: Please tell me exactly how to delete that file. You mean in my hostgator page? Because I can’t access my wordpress dashboard to do anything. I’m a luddite so please walk me through step by step. The other issue that relates to this is the occasional time it does actually direct to the sign in page it goes to an error message that says I’ve been locked out due to too many login attempts. I can’t get into my dashboard for 3 weeks now. This is EXTREMELY frustrating!

Unfortunately a friend set up the page on wp.org but I no longer have access to her help. I’m traveling the world by bicycle and don’t have the knowledge I need. Any step by step info you can tell me would be really helpful.
