I suggest a theme that allows you to use the free Woocommerce plugin as it is a fantasic way to set up an online store.
Uploading products would be from within your WordPress dashboard
You can add a search bar to your site and many WP themes come with that all ready integrated in the theme itself.

In reply to: Where do I put keywords to get on Google's first page?It’s also best that keywords look natural. Don’t over use one keyword in what you’re writing. Also, try to mix the keyword up a bit to flow better.
For instance, if you’re focusing on a keyword like ‘Washington Photography Classes’ try using a long keyword like, ‘Best Seattle Washington Photography Class’ or mix up the keyword ‘Photography Class in Seattle Washington’.
Put them only where they work. Google is cracking down on spammy stuff like keyword stuffed posts.

In reply to: No header or taglineOKay, no worries, ill do my best to help. Try this:
Go into your THEMES
Pick the theme your using and select CUSTOMIZE (it should pop up when you hover over the theme)
That should open your website to see it live with a SIDEBAR off to the left. In there you should see a “SITE NAME and TITLE TAG” box.
Check SHOW (or the equivalent)
Add your info and press SAVE.
Let me know if that works or not 🙂

In reply to: Strange Google ProblemJust a couple thought’s as to why it’s not ranking:
With google cracking down on SEO with the new PENGUIN update, alot of sites are getting hit with rankings. Tactics that worked in the past don’t work anymore. Google’s newest thing that they’re pushing is CONTENT as in Blog Post’s and how many people link back to your site.
From what I can tell with the site, You don’t have much content other than basic info (which is good, you need that) which is likely why it’s not ranking because GOOGLE sees it as low on substance and keywords that would bring people in from the Search engine.
Also, if its a newer site, GOOGLE takes time (and there is really no knowing how much time) to get things up on their end.

In reply to: portfolio slider inside the postThere are quite a few slider plugins that could do this but you would need to customize the CSS of the slider to get it look exactly like the one listed here.
Here’s a good free responsive plugin that’s free or for something more custom you can pay for it as well but will likely need some customizing to get it to look the way you want.

Go to Header under Appearance in your WordPress Dashboard
Now click on Choose File and select an image from the desired location and click on Upload
Then you will see “Crop Header Image” box where you can use your mouse and select an area to crop in the image
Finally, click on Crop and Publish
