thanks for you ongoing help. I understand, that there is perhaps no easy solution for this. Unfortunately, I just don’t understand why it has worked without problems for over 2 years and why the link structure has only recently changed. Maybe a bug then…
Thanks for the link I will go through the option, but at first glance, nothing is 100% suitable for me here.
If there is anyone else who has an idea, please bring it to me, otherwise I’ll put the topic on Resolved and try a workaround.

thanks for your quick response. I am using the plugin “Members” to control the access permissions. It seems, that “PublishPress Capabilities” needs at least the Pro-version to make some more granular access changes than “Members”. So, unfortunately no option for me now.
Hope, that this gets perhaps integrated into the plugin in some future 🙂Kind regards

sorry for the late replay, but I needed to do some more checking in my backend.
Regarding the breadcrumbs:
I understand your explanations, that posts will show the /category/ link in the breadcrumbs hierarchy and pages will show the parent page there. But, sorry for the repetition, until a few weeks ago this was different on my site. There the /category/ part was missing in the breadcrumbs URL. So all of my posts with category “Blog” were linking to the page /blog/. Thats my desired behavior. Don’t know why this behavior has changed, perhaps it was a bug on my site.
But: To come back to my origin question: Is there any possibility to change this behavior via an entry in the functions.php or so? I would like to have the old behavior back.Thanks for the additional help with the reoccurrent “SEO Data Optimization”. Yesterday I have updated the plugin to version 20.0, made one optimization and now all notifications are gone. No further request for optimization or changes in the content type. So this was fixed by itself now. I have not tried to reset the database or so.

I think you got it right with the breadcrumb links, but I don’t understand why this is not working anymore.
A few weeks back it was exactly this behavior. Was there a recent WordPress or Yoast update which changed the behavior? We have the category and the page “Blog” since years and the breadcrumbs linked always to the page “Blog”.
For me, it is no option to keep the breadcrumbs linking to the category. The breadcrumbs shall show the webpage structure and shall always link one page higher in the hierarchy. So how do I get this back? Do I need to change the category name? Hopefully not, because I would need to do this for hundreds of articles and also in some plugins which generate contents based on the category name.To the SEO Data Optimization: I just click on the optimizing, wait for finishing and reload the page. The button is again there, but I have not changed anything in between. So there is something else wrong in my setup I expect.

Optimizing the SEO-Data is always available in the notifications when I click on Yoast SEO. I can click on it, then he is indexing everything but when I click on tools the button is again there. Then I can click again, the button is gone and he is showing successful optimization of the SEO-Data, but when I again click on tools the button is again there.
Additionally the following notification is shown as well all the time: “It seems, that you have added a new Type. Please check the Search Appearance” (translated from german, so not 1:1 the correct wording).
But I have not changed anything in the past (just the normal plugin/themes/wordpress updates). So don’t know where it comes from…

thanks for your quick answer, but this is basically not what I meant.
I’ll try it again, perhaps I have a strange website structure:I have a lot of blog articles in the category “Blog” and the primary category “Blog”. Now I have a webpage with the permalink name “blog”. On this webpage I have a plugin which displays all articles within the category “Blog” with an excerpt, a picture, etc. When I now click on an article there I am linked to the blog article with the following structure: /blog/article-name
In the breadcrumb of this article I can see the Main Page > Blog > Article Name as naming. But behind the “Blog” not the webpage /blog/ is linked but /category/blog/Thats not what I want and I am 100% sure, that this was one month ago correct and has now somehow changed. Perhaps with a WordPress update or a Yoast update. I have already contacted my theme support, but they have mentioned, that it is on Yoast site.
When I now enable the setting which you have mentioned in your link, the webpage /blog/ is overwritten with the category site, but I want to have my own styled with the plugin which shows my articles.
Hopefully it is now more clear what I have meant. Just click on the “The page I need help with” link of my first request, there you will see my issue.

Thank you very much for this additional option in 10.6.1. I have read the changes before updating to 10.6, but could not understand the real issue. Only when I have updated I saw, that the calendar looked really weird so I downgraded the plugin again.
Now, with enabling the option in the admin page, it looks like before. Thanks!
How do I need to change my CSS customizations in order to work with the new, more efficient, method? Is there somehow a guide in the internet how to structure them now? I am not an expert, therefore I need some keywords to search for it.
