In reply to: [WP Customer Reviews] Customer reviews lost or missing on pageTo get your reviews back , roll back to version 2.4.8 using these instructions: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/how-to-downgrade-to-2x?replies=9
This is temporary fix while we address the issue. As of today we have version 3.02 ready. It addressed the lost reviews issue. We are testing it first and will release it ASAP when it’s ready.

In reply to: [WP Customer Reviews] Lost all reviews with a theme updateHi folks. We are actively working on a fix for the “missing reviews” issue. For now rolling back to version 2.8 is the best option. Very sorry for the confusion, frustration, and stress. We hate it when things break too π
Like @pcss said, roll back instructions here: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/how-to-downgrade-to-2x

In reply to: [WP Customer Reviews] How to disable the starsAt this time disabling the stars is not supported. You can have a developer customize the plugin, but you may lose customization if you upgrade in the future.

In reply to: [WP Customer Reviews] Deleted/Edit Review Not Showing Changes@bobbybrown235 – We have day jobs, this is a free plugin, and this is a community forum. Have a little patience…and ask nicely.
Also, the more information you provide, the easier it is to help you. Nobody replying? It’s hard when you don’t provide some relevant details, like the version of the plugin you are using, other plugins you have activated, theme you are using, how long it’s been installed vs. you just installed it, etc. Let’s start there, then we’ll see what we can do to help.

In reply to: [WP Customer Reviews] All reviews have disappearedWe could do that, but out of 26K upgrades to the new version, we’ve tracked less than 100 instances of lost reviews from the forum, emails, support tickets and bug reports. I’m sure there are more that haven’t reported it, but that is only .004%. Double that and it’s still less than .1%, which doesn’t seem like grounds to retract a whole plugin to me. I’m thinking the other 99.9% of users wouldn’t appreciate it π
We don’t really feel hassled when everyone is reasonable. We are working on a paid model so we can provide better support and features. Squashing this bug comes first though.

In reply to: [WP Customer Reviews] Reviews not showing in the latest versionHi folks.
Thanks for your patience while we sort out the issue with missing reviews after upgrade. For most of you, the immediate fix is to roll back to version 2.8 until we are able to get the fix in place. Here are instructions on how to do that: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/how-to-downgrade-to-2x?replies=9

In reply to: [WP Customer Reviews] Reviews table convert 2.8 => 3.0.1We are discussing a tool for that as we speak, but I’m not sure how soon we can do something with it. Please stay tuned as we sort it out, and thanks for your patience π

In reply to: [WP Customer Reviews] No longer works shows up when installedI’m sorry you had trouble with the upgrade. Please try rolling back to version 2.8. Your reviews are still available and you can use the older version if you would like. https://wordpress.org/support/topic/how-to-downgrade-to-2x

In reply to: [WP Customer Reviews] Lost all reviews on updateI’m sorry you had trouble with the upgrade. If reviews did not import from 2.x, the plugin was not enabled on any pages in 2.x, so the upgrade script didn’t have a list of anything to import into the new version. In this case, the plugin wasn’t being used properly in the previous installation.

In reply to: [WP Customer Reviews] All reviews have disappearedHi all. Looks like you are all pretty frustrated. We are too. There are two of us working on this, a developer and support person. Both have day jobs and receive no compensation for this other than the occasional – and I mean occasional – donation. We don’t do this for the money, so please don’t toss that out there as a carrot to get some results. We put this out there after we built it for our clients to be nice. Honestly, I’m not sure I’d do it again. Let me be clear – this is a free plugin, and we support it when we can. If you need support you can count on, you’ll need to find another plugin or hire a freelance developer. If we can help, we’ll surely try. This is a community support forum, and we welcome any help the community provides to users.
Now let’s get a few specifics sorted out.
We are actively collecting information on the missing review problem and are addressing it as we can. It’s not a little bug, and it did not come up in beta testing with testers that volunteered (the few that participated). NOTE that 90% of the issues were because people did not have the plugin configured according the the documentation, meaning most did not have the little box checked that said “display reviews on this page”. Even if you had the shortcode on there, it was a necessary step that if missing caused your reviews to break if you did not have it checked. We didn’t think about there’d be an issue with that little box ahead of time, or we’d have accounted for it.
If you can roll back to 2.8, do it, and please be patient while we work on the issue. If that’s not working for you, I’d recommend another plugin.
@zombiefly – We are not AWOL, we are working on it. It’s been a whopping week since our last reply. I’d appreciate it if you had a little more patience.

If that still does not solve you problem, then please use our issue tracker to submit a bug. This allows us to group and prioritize requests much better than this community support forum.
