In reply to: Installing WordPress for freeJust 2 cents- I’ve been having installation issues, and posted all the details that are available, and have seen no solution or familiarity with the problem (a problem apparently 3 or more of us have). Despite this, and no logs or error messages or any way to even start troubleshooting, I’d prefer working this out with the help of fellows on this list…unless carho’s recommendation were considered and the purpose was to take information from this experience to fix bugs or to improve installation guidance for others.

Step three never happens…looked around on server for install or other logs but I don’t think there are any, and no errors on web server log, so I unfortunately can’t provide any more information 🙁

In reply to: Installation – Second Step.I am having the exact same problem. I have verified my database connection information in wp-config.php. The second step starts….and nothing happens in the browser. The database tables -are- created, but it seems as if the installation processes stops or fails after creating the tables, and gives no indication of failure.
