Hi @valkok,
You could provide us with a list, for sure, and we can see if we can find the root cause. Alternatively you can disable all your active plugins and see if the Chat plugin is removed. If so, then you can reenable them one by one to figure out which one is embedding the code.
Hope this helps,

Hi @timbermill,
Interesting… Thanks for providing a URL so we could look into this. I’m passing to the team for further investigation. Will update you here. Thanks!

Hi @alexlever17,
From the FAQ:
Can the plugin be configured to *only* display on desktop/mobile?
A: No, and this is by design. The Chat plugin is optimised for both desktop and mobile contexts, and is designed for cross-platform feature parity. Disabling it on a particular platform would potentially create a poor experience for the user, who might assume the feature was not working correctly if they are unable to access it on certain platforms.Hope this clarifies,

In reply to: [Facebook Chat Plugin - Live Chat Plugin for WordPress] FB chat dont workHi @marcinswiftpay,
I can promise you we didn’t delete your previous post (we don’t have the power to delete posts here!).
It looks like the HTML parsing for your site is broken causing very weird behavior such as re-loading scripts. Sometimes if we set breakpoints and pause for a bit, we get the same error from a different module and then the chat plugin loads.
Here’s a validator pass on your site’s main page: https://validator.w3.org/nu/?doc=https%3A%2F%2Fswiftpay.ph%2F
Could be the <noscript> content for Pixel that is throwing browser parsing off?

In reply to: [Facebook Chat Plugin - Live Chat Plugin for WordPress] multilingualHi @crush009,
The plugin display language is scoped to a user’s Facebook account locale settings. So users with their Facebook language set to French will see the French-language message, etc.
Hope this clarifies,

Hi @valkok,
I can see that the Chat plugin is installed on your website, but it is not through the official plugin for WordPress (the code is different). Are you running any other plugins that may have included the Facebook Chat plugin as an add-on, or did you manually add the plugin code yourself?
Thanks,
Facebook Tea,
Hi @sausti14,
I’ve had a look at your website, and the Chat plugin appears to be loading up fine 🙂 The JavaScript error in the console is unrelated to the Chat plugin scripts.
I’ll mark this as resolved, but please let us know if you’re encountering any further issues.
Thanks,

Hi @javenarius,
Doesn’t seem to be a way to attach screenshots to forum posts, but can confirm the plugin loads up on the bottom-left of the screen, with the greeting “Chat with The Invisible Architect Guide – John Novello here… How can I help you design your perfect life?”.
Checked on Firefox and Safari also, and loads up fine on those as well.
I would recommend ensuring your browser is not running any ad blockers, or otherwise blocking any traffic to Facebook.
Hope this helps,

Hi @javenarius,
I’ve opened up the website in my desktop browser (Chrome) and it appears to be loading up fine 🙂
I’ll mark this as resolved, but please let us know if you’re encountering any further issues.

In reply to: [Facebook Chat Plugin - Live Chat Plugin for WordPress] Chatbox not workingHi @lauralea21,
The FB Page associated with the Chat plugin is geo-gated. This means that users who are not logged in to Facebook, and are not in the allowed region(s), will not being able to access the Page (and the Chat plugin on your site will not load for them at all).
If you’d like the Chat plugin to be available to all visitors (including those not logged in to Facebook), then any active restrictions on the Page (age or location) should be removed. This can be done by a Page admin, via the Page settings on Facebook.
Hope this helps!

Hi @ivancikjakub,
There is currently a known issue where FAQ questions and answers don’t function properly in chat threads which have been deleted and restarted. However, this does not affect the vast majority of visitors who would be engaging with the Page for the first time (i.e. the FAQ responses will work fine).
Although it is unlikely this will affect regular visitors to your website, nonetheless, the issue is being investigated and worked on, and we expect a fix soon.
Thanks for your understanding,
Facebook Team

In reply to: [Facebook Chat Plugin - Live Chat Plugin for WordPress] multilingualHi @crush009,
Can you explain in a bit more detail what you mean by “multilingual message”? Which message are you referring to?
Thanks,

Hi @chrchcol,
Thanks for getting in touch. There are two issues here:
1) The FB Page associated with the Chat plugin is geo-gated.
2) Your domain is not whitelisted. This happens automatically when running the setup process. Please be sure that you run the plugin setup from the same domain you wish to have whitelisted (eg. if you ran the setup while the site was on a staging server, or something similar, the correct domain would not have been whitelisted). I would recommend running the setup process again from the WordPress admin dashboard, on thebestoftexas.org.
Hope this helps!

Hi @frankgao0592,
Can you share the link to the site which is exhibiting this behaviour, along with a link to a site which is working the way you want it to?
Thanks,
