Hi @techie05,
Thanks for the question. Based on our check, it looks like you are using an old version of the wordpress chat plugin. Could you remove the old version and update it to the latest v1.7? Once you install the latest version, run the setup tool again via WordPress admin panel and that should solve your issue.

Facebook TeamHi @monoarul,
We looked into this and it happens when your FB page has any age/country restrictions set. We don’t render the plugin for logged out user if you have age/country restrictions set on your FB page.
More details:
Pages Using Age/Country Restrictions
If your Page has age or country restrictions set in Page settings, the Chat Plugin will not render for users who are not logged into their Facebook account when they visit your website.Regards

Facebook TeamWhat kind of Chrome extension are you using? If you try to disable the extensions on Chrome and enabling it one by one, you should be able to narrow down which extension is causing the issue.

Facebook TeamHi,
Thanks for the question.
You can customize the auto greeting popup by setting the
greeting_dialog_display properties. More details: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/messenger-platform/discovery/facebook-chat-plugin#customizationRegards
Facebook TeamHi @cat8410cat,
Based on our check, it looks like you are not installing the chat plugin via the official chat plugin that we provide. Could you try to remove the custom code/plugin you used before and install it via the official plugin? This should resolve your issue.
Hi @nahian1160,
Based on our check, it looks like you install it via the Fb page setting setup tool. While that is correct, but it looks like the version of the javascript that you are using is outdated. If you could remove the manual code you added and install it via the official wordpress plugin, it should resolve your issue.Hi @pickme,
Could you provide your website URL so we can take a look?Regards
Facebook TeamHi,
As explained by @lolalyluo, the root cause of the issue is caused by improper installation via other plugins or direct installation by copy pasting some code to the website and leveraging an older version of the plugin that is no longer supported.
The recommended steps will be to remove any old plugin setup codes (that were manually added or via other plugin setup codes) and then re-run the official plugin setup code. This way, it will remove the old setup code and replaced it with the latest where the problem should be fixed.
Let us know if it works for you.

In reply to: [Facebook Chat Plugin - Live Chat Plugin for WordPress] Doesn’t workHi @mauricero,
Thanks for the feedback. You can do more customization by following the guide here https://developers.facebook.com/docs/messenger-platform/discovery/facebook-chat-plugin#customization
On disabling the popup, look for greeting_dialog_display attribute
