Hi @sbwd,
Sorry to hear this. Can you clarify at what step (i.e. following what action) you encountered this error message?
Can I ask you to try again and see if the error is persisting?
Thanks,

12. I’ve upgraded my plugin to the latest version, but am now seeing some display issues on the plugins page, or the new admin features aren’t working correctly.
A: If you installed the new version over an old version of the plugin, there might be the old versions of the JavaScript and CSS files cached in memory which may cause a display issue. Try a hard refresh (Ctrl + F5 on Windows; Cmd + Shift + R on Mac) on the plugins page, and also the settings page, to force the loading of the new versions.
Hi @tecreative,
Regarding the deactivation form: If you installed the new version over an old version of the plugin, there might be an old version of the script file cached in memory which is causing a display issue. Could you try a hard refresh (Ctrl + F5 on Windows; Cmd + Shift + R on Mac) to see if that loads the plugin page correctly?
I’ve had a look at your site, and it appears that the code has been installed correctly. Let me look at this in more detail and we’ll see if we can figure out what’s wrong here.
Will update here as soon as we have some insight…

In reply to: [Facebook Chat Plugin - Live Chat Plugin for WordPress] Home page onlyHi @aggelospao13,
The new version (2.1) of the plugin allows you to choose which pages you’d like the plugin to appear on 🙂
Enjoy!

8. Can the plugin be configured to only display on certain pages of my site?
A: Yes! This feature is in v2.1.Hi @zonaljoe,
It looks like you have “Frequently Asked Questions” set up for your Page. You can edit/disable these via the Page’s settings -> Messaging -> Automated responses.
Hope this helps!

Hi @post11assistant,
Your best bet would be to look at the “Messaging” section in your Facebook Page’s settings, to see what apps are handling the messaging for the Page. Then the next step would be to determine who at the company has access to the app in question, as it’s through that app that you’ll be able to make changes to the messaging experience (i.e. enable/disable composer; set persistent menu, etc.).
As a last resort, you can remove the app from the Page, and revert it to a basic messaging channel – however please bear in mind that all custom messaging functions (such as persistent menus, automated replies, etc.) will cease to function.
Hope this helps,

Hi @hhpc,
We actively help everyone who posts seeking support on this forum. There’s really no need to be rude.
As for your case, it’s actually covered in the FAQ: Your Facebook Page is region-gated.
If the Facebook Page connected to the plugin has any restrictions applied (age, or location), then the plugin will only display for users who:
a) Are logged in to Facebook in that browser,
and
b) Pass the restrictions successfully (i.e. are of sufficient age, or in the target region(s)).If you’d like the Chat plugin to be available to all visitors (including those not logged in to Facebook), then the region restrictions should be removed. This can be done by a Page admin, via the Page settings.
Hope this helps,

Hi @post11assistant,
I visited the Facebook Page connected to this Chat plugin, and it looks like it has disabled the composer: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/messenger-platform/send-messages/persistent-menu/#disable_composer
Hope this clarifies,

Hi @zsola345,
I’ve checked your site again now, and I can see the plugin is loading up fine. Now that you’ve had a chance to see it in action, perhaps you can consider updating your review with any feedback you might have?
Thanks!

Hi @poae3711,
I’ve had a look at your site, and the Chat plugin code doesn’t appear to be present anywhere on the page. Can I ask you to re-run the setup process from the WordPress admin dashboard?
Thanks,
