As you know this review was written following a major overhaul of the plugin in version 2.0. At this point, most of the issues related to that overhaul of the plugin have been long addressed.
In particular, we’ve pushed a lot of performance enhancements, especially in our latest releases.
I’m not sure if you’re still using NextGEN Gallery, but given the current performance of the plugin, a one-star rating seems a bit harsh, and we’re wondering if you might consider revising your rating?

As you know this review was written following a major overhaul of the plugin in version 2.0. At this point, most of the issues related to that overhaul of the plugin have been long addressed.
I wanted to point out in particular that our latest releases remove NextGEN scripts from all front end pages except those with NextGEN galleries. That’s something that’s been an issue since long before the overhaul.
I’m not sure if you’ve had a chance to use NextGEN lately, but given the current performance of the plugin, a one-star rating seems a bit harsh, and we’re wondering if you might consider revising your rating?

In particular, we’ve pushed out quite a few performance improvements since your review. The latest ones remove NextGEN scripts from any page without galleries, and has a notable overall impact on front end load times.
