Hi there
Slide is currently the only option for Jetpack’s Carousel. You’d need to write some custom code if you wanted to change that to a fade animation instead.
Sorry I can’t be more help here.
Hi there
If Jetpack Protect has locked you out, you can find instructions for troubleshooting that here:

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Jetpack trouble reconnectingHi again
We’re now seeing a 409 error in the xmlrpc response. Can you check with your host on that.
If they are unable to help, could you contact us via this contact form and mention this thread so we can get more details and advise further?
Thanks.
Hi there
Your subscribers have been restored. Let us know if you need anything else.
Hi @diggler
I see that you contacted WordPress.com support yesterday and they were able to restore the Jetpack connection for you. If you have any more trouble, I’d suggest contacting WordPress.com support again for the fastest resolution.
Thanks!
Hi there
Can you share a screenshot of the settings on the widget itself?
If you don’t already have a screenshot service installed, here are a few free options:
* https://snipboard.io
* http://skitch.com/
* http://getcloudapp.com/
* http://awesomescreenshot.com/Hi Mark
I wasn’t able to open your XML file, it just took me to your site’s ‘maintenance mode’ page.
In order to bulk delete the cached images, we’ll need a list of all the URLs in plain text, with each URL on a new line.
Thanks

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Jetpack trouble reconnectingHi there
While your site is publicly accessible, we cannot access your site’s XML-RPC file:
[yoursite.com]/xmlrpc.phpThis file is used by Jetpack and other plugins and apps to connect to your site. It must return the following message:
XML-RPC server accepts POST requests only.
You can see a working example here:
https://jetpack.com/xmlrpc.php
Since your site returns a 406 (‘unacceptable’) error for this page, I would recommend that you check the following:
1) Can you see the /xmlrpc.php file at the root of your WordPress installation when accessing your site via FTP? If you don’t, then please try re-installing WordPress. You can do this by going to the Dashboard -> Upgrades page, then click the “Reinstall WordPress” button.
2) Do you use any security plugins that may block access to this file? If so, could you try to disable them? You might also want to check your site’s .htaccess file for any rules that might be blocking access to the xmlrpc.php file.
3) Does your hosting provider block access to this file? If you don’t find any plugin that may block access to the file on your site, I would recommend that you get in touch with your host.
Once we are able to access your site’s xmlrpc.php file, you should be able to connect Jetpack to https://wordpress.com.
Hi there
Currently, we primarily provide support in English, but I can use a translation tool to assist you.
It sounds like you’re having trouble installing Jetpack because a previous version is still partially installed.
You’ll need to remove the ‘jetpack’ plugin folder manually, using FTP or your host’s File Manager. Once it’s removed, you should be able to install Jetpack again.
Here’s a guide to deleting plugins via FTP:
https://wordpress.org/support/article/managing-plugins/#manual-uninstallationIf you need help with that, I’d suggest contacting your host to see if they have a File Manager you can use to delete the folder.

Yes, we received your email and will get back to you as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience.
Hi there
It may indeed be the case that a change to Jetpack’s carousel has caused the issue, which likely means that the theme author will need to update the theme to work with the latest version of Jetpack.
The last update to that theme was in January 2021, so it will need to be updated to work with the recent carousel changes. Otherwise you may want to look for an alternative theme that is updated more frequently.
Hi there
Thanks for the report. We have an open issue for this on Github, so I’ll mark this as resolved, and you can follow along there for updates instead:
