Hi there @dinnerd,
Thanks for reaching out, and I’m sorry to hear about the trouble you were running into. Were the form submissions showing up as errors in the WP Mail SMTP Debug Log?
Or was the problem just that the submit button on the form wouldn’t work?
The reason I ask is because if the submit button was the symptom you were seeing, the mailer wouldn’t be the cause. Typically when a form won’t submit on the front end, the issue has to do with a JavaScript conflict or a caching issue. If the problem comes back, there are a couple of things you can try
- disabling caching on the contact page if you do have caching enabled
- disable other plugins to to see if there may be a conflict from a recent update
Hopefully the issue doesn’t return, but I wanted to bring those up just in case it does.
I hope that helps. Have a great day!

Hi there @albertoarias,
Thanks for reaching out! From the error message, it looks like there is an error with MailerLite. You may need to reach out to MailerLite about the issue you’re seeing, as it seems to be related to their REST connection.
I hope that helps! Have a great day!
Hi there @ssaxenav,
Thanks for reaching out! Generally when an SMTP server sends that error back, it’s because the From address does not match the connected address (SMTP username).
Check to make sure the From address and SMTP username match. It’s also a good idea to check the Force From Email option in WP Mail SMTP so that way your emails will always be sent From the address in WP Mail SMTP.
If you need to be able to send emails from other addresses, you will likely need to switch to a different mailer service. Check out this guide in our documentation. It walks through each mailer we support and includes the benefits of each: https://wpmailsmtp.com/docs/a-complete-guide-to-wp-mail-smtp-mailers/
I hope that helps! Have a great day!
Hi there @pccvettes,
Thanks for reaching out! WP Mail SMTP does not limit how many emails can be sent, but most mailer services will. The error you are seeing:
Userย pcc@pccvettes.orgย has exceeded its 24-hour sending limit. Messages to 5 recipients out of 5 allowed have been sent. Relay quota will reset in 6.51 hours.ยThis comes from the SMTP server WP Mail SMTP is trying to connect to. You mentioned that your email is through Outlook via GoDaddy. Microsoft outlines their sending limits here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/sending-limits-in-outlook-com-279ee200-594c-40f0-9ec8-bb6af7735c2e
That said, GoDaddy may be setting this limit. I did some searching around and found a post where someone ran into the same issue and Microsoft suggested the user reach out to GoDaddy to have the limit increased. I agree that reaching out to GoDaddy about the limit will be the best step to take.
If GoDaddy won’t raise your limit, you may need to switch to a different mailer service, such as SendLayer, Brevo, SMTP.com, or another mailer service we connect to.
Check out this guide in our documentation. It walks through each mailer we support and includes the benefits of each: https://wpmailsmtp.com/docs/a-complete-guide-to-wp-mail-smtp-mailers/
I hope that helps! Have a great day!
Hi there @jbalazs8178,
Thanks for reaching out. You can use the same credentials. That said, it’s generally not a good idea to reuse credentials (for anything) if you can help it. As a security best practice, you should use different credentials each time if you can. That way if one is compromised, it doesn’t cause problems for everything.
Additionally, if you have multiple sites running on the same credentials and something happens to that set of credentials, you’ll need to update all of the sites. Personally, I prefer using different credentials for each site to keep things separate and easier to manage in the event I need to change something.
I hope that helps! Have a great day!
Hi there @zcoder,
Thanks for reaching out. It sounds like you might be running into a timeout. Can you check your WordPress debug logs to see if it might be registering a PHP error?
In case it helps, this guide on the WPBeginner site walks through enabling the debug feature in WordPress:
If you can check the log and let us know, that should help.
Thanks!
Hi there @kimabaghdasaryan,
Are you running other SMTP plugins on your site? The reason I ask is because the warning you are seeing in the screenshot refers to WP SMTP. Our plugin is WP Mail SMTP. If you have other SMTP plugins installed, you may be running into a conflict with other plugins.
Regarding whether this issue is due to using the free version, that shouldn’t be the case. Our Pro version has a built-in mailer for Zoho, but you can still use the free version to connect to Zoho using the Other SMTP mailer.
Check your site to see if other SMTP plugins are active. If they are, try turning them off and then try sending a test email with WP Mail SMTP.
I hope that helps! Have a great day!
Hi there @thera2002,
Thanks for taking the time to leave a rating and a review! We’re glad to hear our plugin was easy to setup and use. That’s certainly one of our goals and we’re glad to hear we’re meeting that for you.
Have a great day!
Hi there @eglemcom,
If test emails show successful but never arrive, it means the emails are being transferred to the mailer service successfully. However, something may be happening on the other end when Brevo gets the email.
Check your Brevo account’s Transactional log. There may be an issue on the Brevo side that is keeping the emails from sending.
I hope that helps! Have a great day!
Hi there @dmc16pro
Thanks for reaching out! I took a look at the error message and noticed this part:
mailbox unavailable Sender address is not allowed.
This issue has to do with the SMTP account you’re trying to connect to. According to the error, your SMTP server is reporting back that the mailbox you’re trying to connect to does not exist.
You’ll need to reach out to your SMTP provider. They should be able to help you get this sorted out.
I hope that helps! Have a great day!
