Hi there @ilpwebadmin,
Thanks for reaching out! You mentioned that you’ve been using your Gmail SMTP connection for years. The password you’re using with it, is it the same as the one for your Gmail account? The reason I ask is because sometime ago, Google made changes on their end of things that require a different type of password when connecting via SMTP. Instead of the normal Google password, you’ll need to use an App Password.
Check out this part of our documentation. It walks through the steps to generate an App Password for your Gmail account:
https://easywpsmtp.com/docs/setting-up-the-other-smtp-mailer/#google-workspace
I hope that helps! Have a great day!
Hi there @peesen87,
Thanks for reaching out! Old Microsoft SMTP settings shouldn’t cause that, but to be sure, you can try removing the SMTP details from the Settings panel. Just got to WP Mail SMTP >Settings and scroll down to the Other SMTP mailer settings. Delete any configuration settings already there and hit Save. After that, try the setup again.
If that doesn’t work, it’s likely an issue caused by a plugin conflict. In that case, try disabling the other plugins and then run through the setup again.
I hope that helps! Have a great day!
Hi there @harutheme,
Thanks for reaching out! We haven’t seen any fatal errors with 8.4, nor any that would break access with the admin dashboard. There may be another conflict occurring.
When you get a moment, try enabling the WordPress Debug Log before activating our plugin. This way, if the admin panel breaks again, the error log may reveal why. We can take a look at the error message(s) it captures and go from there.
Thanks!
Hi there @nbue181,
Thanks for reaching out! You may need to contact A2 Hosting about this. If I remember correctly, they don’t allow remote SMTP connections. That may have changed, but there was a time when any attempts to connect to a remote SMTP server would fail due to server restrictions.
That said, you could try using the Gmail Mailer instead. That connection uses Google’s API service to connect rather than SMTP. This method typically gets around these types of issues.
Check out this guide in our documentation. It walks through setting up a connection to Google Workspace/Gmail, and includes screenshots of each step in the process: https://wpmailsmtp.com/docs/how-to-set-up-the-gmail-mailer-in-wp-mail-smtp/
And in case it helps, we also have a video walkthrough on the process. Our presenter goes over each step so you’re able to see exactly what they see as they connect:
I hope that helps! Have a great day!
Hi there @creina,
Just to give you a heads up, Shawon replied yesterday: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/email-submissions-not-sending/
You can follow up with him in the original thread.
And in case it helps, we do have a walkthrough video to help you get connected with Gmail:
I hope that helps! Have a great day!
Hi there @rmarks,
Thanks for reaching out! Those notices are coming from WPForms. The best thing to do is reach out to their support team directly here:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wpforms-lite/
They should be able to look into this for you.
Have a great day!

In reply to: [WP Mail Logging] Fatal Error: Class “No3x\WPML\WPML_LifeCycle” not foundHi there @ypeng,
Thanks for reaching out. Reinstalling shouldn’t wipe your current log history unless the Cleanup option was enabled. That option isn’t enabled automatically, so if you never turned it on, you should be good.
If you’re not sure if that option was enabled or not, what you could try doing is installing the plugin manually with FTP. In case it helps, WPBeginner has a great article that walks through the process of manually installing a WordPress plugin via FTP:
It’s possible that something removed or corrupted one or more of the files in the plugin. If you upload the files directly with FTP, you’ll send them to the file system directly so anything that’s broken or missing will be overwritten.
I hope that helps! Have a great day!

In reply to: [WP Mail Logging] Export logHi there @jzalman,
Thanks for reaching out! Currently we do not have a built-in method of exporting the log data. I’ll reach out to our development team and let them know about the feature request. This way they can keep it on their radar as they plan out our development road map.
Thanks!
Hi there @trexeme
Thanks for reaching out! Can you let us know what content is being left out or is importing correctly? That should help.
Thanks!
Hi @bikegremlin,
Thanks for reaching out and bringing that to our attention. We’ll check into this!

In reply to: [One Click Demo Import] ACF integrationHi there @quantum_leap,
The problem comes down to when ACF registers those CPTs. Plugins need to be activated before the import is run so that way they exist within WordPress when their data is imported.
In the case of ACF, if the CPT is not fully registered before the import runs, the items for it will be skipped. So, if you’re running the import and the CPTs from ACF are getting skipped, it’s because they are registered after the import runs. That’s why you would need to hook into ocdi/before_content_import.
I hope that helps!
