In reply to: [WP Options Importer] JSON Error alsoSorry – you are right. When I looked at the PHP Config in cpanel it said “default is PHP 5.4” but I didn’t notice below where it said “this php file extension will be processed by 5.2” (which is pretty stupid, isn’t it?) When I looked again, I saw it.
I will address with the host. Thanks!

In reply to: [YUZO] Links not clickableRight – I said that in the first post. I can’t change the other plugin, and I’m not willing to abandon it. I do like Yuzo, but I will have to find another related posts plugin if I can’t resolve this conflict. Btw – the other plugin is Sumome which is VERY common. I expect this will come up for you again.
It does seem to be intermittent. It wasn’t working, then it was, now it isn’t again.
So is there any way to resolve this conflict? Or do I need to try a different related posts plugin?

In reply to: [YUZO] Links not clickableInteresting. It wasn’t working when I posted this – now it is! Well, I won’t complain.
Thanks for looking. I will start a new thread if it comes up again.

In reply to: [Boopis WooCommerce RFQ] Buttons not changing on home pageWell – never mind. In the course of other work on the site, it seems to have resolved itself.
The buttons on the front of the site never did change, but that was probably a theme thing. I found another way to deal with it.
So never mind. Thanks anyway.

In reply to: [Boopis WooCommerce RFQ] Buttons not changing on home pageFYI – The fatal error is on the list of products, not on the individual product page. It’s throwing Woocommerce for a loop because all the prices are 0.00. It causes the list to break after the first item, but the search still works, and I can still edit products. So it’s only a problem on the back end. The front end seems to be working.

In reply to: [Boopis WooCommerce RFQ] Buttons not changing on home pageCorrection – I just went in to edit one of the products and got a fatal error (weird, because I edited all the products several times without a problem). Here’s the error:
Fatal error: Call to a member function get_price() on a non-object in /home1/admin/public_html/wp-content/plugins/boopis-woocommerce-rfq/templates/overrides.php on line 55
Help!

In reply to: [Arcade Basic] Blog Page linkAh! The missing ingredient.
Thank you very much. Not sure I ever would have figured that out myself. Where did you find that on their site?
That creates a slightly different problem, but no worries. I can customize the post-block page to my liking.
Thank you so much for persevering. I greatly appreciate it.

In reply to: [Arcade Basic] Blog Page linkYes, I do. But I DON’T want a static front page which is required for what you are suggesting. If I do as you suggest, it creates the desired Blog page, but it also makes the front page a blog page. What I want is for the front page to remain as it is – with all features of the Arcade theme, then a Blog link that links to all blog posts.
If I set the the blog page in the Reading Settings, all the Arcade theme front page features disappear, because it has to be set to Static Front Page in order for this to work. See this screenshot.
Front Page with blog page set in Reading settings
Here is what the front page looks like when it’s set to Show Latest Posts, which is what we want.
See what I’m saying?

In reply to: [Arcade Basic] Blog Page linkNo, I don’t want a static front page. I’m happy to leave the front page as it is. But I want a link in the top Nav to all blog posts, as most sites have.
Per your suggestion, I tried setting the Posts page to my created Blog page in the Reading settings, then setting it back to Show Blog Posts (rather than static front page), to see if that would connect the dots, but still no go.
Most themes I’ve used either automatically recognized a Page entitled Blog and directed all blog posts there after its created and added to the menu, or the theme already had a Blog link in the top nav. This one doesn’t seem to have any way to do that. Most sites have a link to the blog in their top nav and this is fairly expected by users. That’s what I’m trying to achieve.

In reply to: [Arcade Basic] Adding Social Buttons at Bottom of All PostThis is something you can do regardless of your theme. Look in the WordPress.org/plugins repository and type in “social” – you’ll find bunches of plugins that can achieve this.
Different ones place the buttons in different places, so read the descriptions to find one that does what you want. It may take a little trial and error to get one that looks right for you and does what you want, but there are tons to choose from. You should be able to achieve this without too many problems.
