In reply to: Google Calendar Feed 1 hour earlyHi again Obi Wan.
I’ve removed the more details link from the widget for the moment until I can fix the problem. This will avoid any un-necessary confusion for people visiting the site.

In reply to: Google Calendar Feed 1 hour earlyHi Obi Wan.
Thanks for the reply. I’ve logged out of my google a/c and refreshed the webpage but when I click on more details I’m still gettingInformation-Open Night
Our annual Information Evening will be held in the College on Thursday 25th September from 7.30pm for 6th Class pupils and their parents. When Thu 25 Sep 2014 18:30 – 20:00 GMT (no daylight saving) This is the problem line !!!! It should read 19:30 – 21:00
The time in the text is fine but not on the last line. It’s the same on my pc at home, all the pc’s at work and my windows phone.
Aaaaaarrrrgh !
Any more suggestions?

That worked a treat. I’ll take your advice on the flashing text – seems it’s obsolete now.

In reply to: Can't upload media and can't switch from html to visualI did a bit more research and it appears the CKEditor plugin for text editing was in some sort of conflict with 3.8.1
I have deactivated that plugin and I can now upload images again and also access the standard wordpress visual editor.
My portfolio slideshow plugin is now slightly problemmatic in that it won’t allow me to re-order images on the slideshow. I’ll keep trying and report back.
Any suggestions for a good text editor for 3.8.1 as the standard wordpress one is limited.
Thanks

In reply to: Allow Users Edit Specific PageHi all
I still haven’t found a solution to this problem.I’ve read a bit a bit about role scoper.
Is this effective? If you’ve used it was it successful? Was it easy?
Thanks

In reply to: Allow Users Edit Specific PageHi,
Just thought I’d re post this request, thanks.
Our website is
http://www.stfranciscollege-rochestown.ie
As a school, I would like to allow some people to update certain pages on the site but not allow them full administrator access.
For example, I would like to allow a teacher/student access to edit their own page and nothing else.
Is this possible, easy, plugin?
Any help would be great
Denis
Hey Rui
I’m not any ‘competition’
my site is http://www.stfranciscollege-rochestown.ie
it’s a school! you’ll see the portfolio slideshow working on it.
Did you ever solve your problem? What plugin did you use, was it easy?

In reply to: All in one video kalturaAha
I’ve solved it.
I went to the html editor on the page instead of the visual editor.
I went to insert the video from there and it generated a line of code for me to insert and hey presto, up and runningPerseverance!
Hey Rui
Try the ‘Portfolio Slideshow’ plugin.
It’s really easy to use. Once you upload your images for a particular page, then you type
[portfolio_slideshow] onto your page and hey presto. You can go into the settings and change the timings etc.
Goodluck

In reply to: change colour of post titleHi esmi.
Thanks again.
Yes indeed, CSS will be my brain training for the next week or so. I shall follow those links.
Like Arnie said “I’ll be back” if I destroy my site.

In reply to: change colour of post titleHi esmi.
Thanks for the reply but it doesn’t mean a whole lot to me.
The limit of my html work is changing a few simple things on the stylesheet.
Any other advice to point me on my way for child theme?
Thanks
Denis
