Yes, sorry travis, my bad! Fixed that now, NOW IT SHOULD WORK :p
And no problem euphoriuhh
Okay, released an update! Should cover all the problems you have experienced… Hopefully!!
Okay I was working on the plugin last night and believe I have fixed all the problems you have reported so far.
I will release an update sometime today which I hope you will have time to test and confirm whether or not the problems have been corrected.
Hey again Travis, I have just popped back to your site and now nothing is working at all, I’m seeing error messages pointing to a jQuery problem? Are you messing with something at the moment?
dont think jQuery is being included correctly…
Anyway once this is sorted I can see and document the problems you have described and can then get to work on some code to fix the issues for you and the rest of us 🙂
And dont feel bad bringing problems to my attention, this is good as I would like to make this plugin work as good as it possibly can, and then extend it to include a whole host of features to help everyone!
And I’ll email you directly, but a quick thanks for the donation mate, really appreciate it!
Unfortunately you get allot of problems using old versions of jQuery, let alone the added problems of running more than one version of jQuery in a page…
It really is beyond the scope of my plugin to work under your requirements and it will take you allot of trial and error, reading and testing to get everything working in harmony.
What I’m saying is, it would be far too much work for me to help you and to also read up on everything to find ways to get it all to work together.
However, you could REMOVE the jQuery elements of my plugin, then you only need to worry about getting the various components loaded back up on the page after an AJAX request.
I wish you all the luck figuring this out.
I have an idea to convert this connection code so that it uses jQuery methods instead since we use jQuery anyway.
Hopefully this should bring some improvement or at the very least neater code and more compatibility.
Secondly at the moment it’s fetching the whole site page as you would in a browser, an improvement could be made where we just fetch the required post info and nothing else, this is something I will be looking into in the coming weeks.
Thanks for your feedback, I’m currently looking into both problems you have reported. I must admit the second problem with direct links is weird… Not even getting an error.
Watch this space.
What do you mean “the admin side”?
I have implemented this and I have included your nivoslider solution to the examples.
Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Advanced AJAX Page Loader] [Plugin: Advanced AJAX Page Loader] Parse errorI’m guessing it has not downloaded correctly, please try deleting the plugin and installing it again.
I have now implemented your recommended fix, but as you suggest, I need to implement a better approach ASAP
I have now provided a solution to this in the latest update.
enjoy.
Your right, it’s something on the to-do list, but great if you have made some headway… I’m already in the process of implementing your other changes soon 🙂
Right, I see sorry I didn’t realise you were on about the history feature (skimmed your post), I apologies.
I was aware pushState wouldn’t work in older versions of IE but thought it worked in the latest ones :s. But thats for the information I will work on the code and provide the “fallback method” you are talking about!
Thanks for this 🙂
Which version of Internet Explorer are you referring to? Works fine in the IE browsers I have tested (Ie7, IE8, IE9).
