In reply to: [Plugin: Contact Form 7] Submitting without js goes to 404Hi Dave, I’m having the same problem. Although I am not sure if I have CSS or JS disabled. I only noticed the problem after I installed Windows 7, which I don’t think has any impact on CF7 on my site, but it just seems odd.
I even have the correct “thank you” page URL added to “aditional settings” (on_sent_ok: “location.replace(‘http://dougdraws.com/thank-you/’);”) which always worked before. But it doesn’t work now.
I wonder if this started after the last plugin update?

In reply to: [Plugin: WP Super Cache] Website Ruined, All Pages BlankOk, all I can say is …. Wow!! I must have all the appropriate stuff to make this work, because it went KaPow! right out of the gate. Very nice. I have let other people know so they can visit and click around my site and let me know if the speed has improved for them, too.
Thanks, Donncha π

In reply to: [Plugin: WP Super Cache] Website Ruined, All Pages BlankDonncha,
I’m going to give it a try, but first saving my theme folder to my desktop (just in case). I figure it can’t be worse than what I have now. I think the main culprits are the images on my site and theme itself. We’ll see if it improves anything.
P.S. I like your tip on cleaning ballpoint pen off the monitor.

In reply to: [Plugin: WP Super Cache] Website Ruined, All Pages BlankWow, I was going to install this plugin this morning, but I’m glad I found this thread first!
If you ever need me on your team just let me know π
Dave,
I tried inserting that code into my stylesheet and it broke my web site. I had a moment of utter terror when all I saw was a blank page and in large black letters “Database Error”.
Thankfully, after I removed that code and refreshed everything came back (…whew…).
Um, I guess I won’t be doing that again, lol.
I managed to widen the other boxes, but I just need to figure out how to widen the select services box. It gets wider if I type in something long, but other than that it stays the length of the longest typed entry.
Dave,
Thanks for the reply – and the answer! I didn’t even think to make another drop down and check on that (doh! – smacks forehead). Since I already had a drop down in the form field I just assumed there wasn’t any option for multiple selections.
Now is there a way to enter the size for that drop down? Like to make it wider, taller, shorter? I didn’t see any size options when I made the second one.
Thanks again π

In reply to: My Posts Never Appear AnywhereSorry, Chris. Just meant that by now most of my comments and threads should have passed out of the Askimet corral and went grazing, lol.
I see some of them have, but it’s just odd how so many have no replies. I even tried “bumping” a couple, but that doesn’t seem to work. Maybe a WP.org forum no-no?
Anyway, Chris and mrmist – thanks for responding.

In reply to: [Plugin: WordPress Popular Posts] Sorry. No data so far.I’d love to enable a fourth tab on the home page Comments section, but I haven’t a clue how to do that. I believe that is hard coded somewhere in my theme. My theme is pretty bad with the whole posts-pages-categories thing. It took me and another person (more knowledgeable about WP than me) about a month to actually get the nav menu working. Quite ridiculous.
I already inquired with the theme developer on several occasions about all these issues and his response was pretty lame. So there’s no help there. I read your explanation, but it didn’t really apply to my situation.
The plugin is pulling my folio posts in, when I don’t even have comments enabled on those posts, which is odd.

In reply to: [Plugin: WordPress Popular Posts] Sorry. No Data So Far.# What’s your site URL? – http://dougdraws.com
# Is your wp-admin folder password protected via htaccess? – I don’t even know what this means
# Are your visitors required to register in order to access your posts? – No, I have it set to ‘Comment author must fill out name and e-mail’ and that’s it
# Is this how your wp_head code looks like? – This code is already in the header.php file

In reply to: [Plugin: WordPress Popular Posts] Sorry. No data so far.I notice now that I have it set to display popular posts by comments, but it’s not really doing this correctly. Because it is showing some of my folio work and I don’t even have comments enabled on those posts.

In reply to: [Plugin: WordPress Popular Posts] Sorry. No data so far.Another question: I have it checked to exclude categories, and I have the IDs typed in, but it still shows things from the excluded category. Do I need to do something else? It could be my theme. It is kind of weird in its category/post/page handling.

In reply to: [Plugin: WordPress Popular Posts] Sorry. No data so far.HΓ©ctor, thank you for your reply. It finally populated itself today. As you said, “You should give it some time.”
Would you have any advice or suggestions on how to style the widget appearance?
Thanks again.

In reply to: [Plugin: WordPress Popular Posts] Sorry. No Data So Far.I’m not getting anything, either. Just “Sorry. No data so far.” Do I have to wait a while or something? I have the “php wp_head” code already in my header.php file.
