    Can someone PLEASE help me find a resolution to this? My RSS Feed always worked fine in MT. Why the hassle in WP?

    Yo! WordPress pro’s! Any of you guys know what I should do about this?
    Dean Allen, are you reading these too? Have you ever run into this?
    I’d really like to turn the Textile thing off. I’ve pretty much gotten used to doing basic formatting in HTML and I don’t really want to learn a new formatting language. Just my own preference.

    Okay you guys, I’ve updated from 1.2 beta to 1.2 production (mingus). Still the same problem. When I click on the link for the RSS feed I get…

    The XML page cannot be displayed
    Cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later.

    So, what now? How do I get this RSS thing fixed??!!

    Okay, I deleted the custom URI thing. The links on my titles are working, and I can leave comments. So that much is good. But when I click the link for the RSS2.0 feed I get an error page…

    I’ve got the right path now to the “wp-rss2.php” file in my blog’s root. But what’s up with the ABCNews thing??

    Well, it isn’t working the way I would have wanted, but it is working.
    I never could get the entry-to-entry redirect part to work. Just a bit too technical and above my head I guess. But I was able to jerry-rig the redirect so that it redirected all of my MT entries to my new blog site (but not to the same entries there). And I also used a variant of the same redirect html to replace the content of my old MT Main Index file, so when people go to the old main URL they are redirected to the new site. So, I guess that means I’m covered – if they input an old entry-specific URL they are redirected to the new site, and if they input the old site URL in general they are redirected to the new site.
    I’m afraid this is the best I can do and I will have to hope the search engines update accordingly. I will also stop in at Google and update my blog URL there manually, and do the same at a few other web indexes I’ve manually registered with.
    So that does it for MT. Wasn’t a bitter parting, just time to move on to a better fit for me.

    I’m not seeing anything wrong with this…
    define(‘MTEXPORT’, ‘import.txt’);
    Quotes, etc., all seem to be in place. Again, the error message indicated the problem was in line 279 (not line 2).
    Also, I took the 1.02 “stable” version for installation. Is the code for line 279 in “import-mt-php” any different in 1.2 beta?

    Somebody got a “fix” for this issue? I’d really like to move my MT posts into WordPress (I signed up to beta test and installed MT 3.0 before SixApart put out the new price list – and its outta my range now;-)
