In reply to: [Premmerce] Updating URLsHi Premmerce (@premmerce)
In regards to the question above, I realise it is not so much a problem as your 301 redirects wÃll make sure there are no 404 pages. I can then take my time to update all the URLs on our wevsite which are hard coded (maybe with a search and replace function in the database).
Can you advise me at all on what we should do with 301 redirects in our .htaccess file? With your plugin, browsers will sometimes be making 2 hops for WooCommerce URLS we already have 301 redirects on (in the .htaccess file). My idea is to go through all the 301 redirects in our .htaccess fiel and update them so they point to the new URL structure created by your plugin. Does that sound correct?
PS – I never said that your plugin is amazingly simple, which is why it is so attractive. Some other plugins are far too complicated with too many options.
Thanks

In reply to: [Permalink Manager Lite] Unpublishing plugin – what happens to redirects?Hello Maciej Bis(@mbis)
Many thanks for their quick reply.
1. Just so I understand, with this snippet, the custom URL’s within your plugin will continue to redirect to the original posts permalinks, even if we disable temporarily your plugin?
2. Can this snippet be published at the same time as your plugin is published (ie it will not have any conflict with your plugin)?

Actually this is what my main worry is. Quite often you have to disable a plugin to debug an issue. In this case with your plugin, it could be catastrophic. Hundreds of URls changing and customers getting tot 404 pages.
How are you suppose to manage that issue?

Hi,
I sent you the support message. It seems to have worked….
You do not need login details to the website.. I can send you the plugin for the Quick View if required. Thanks in advance
I’m not on facebook. Do you have any other way I can send you our website details?
HI quadlayers (@quadlayers)
Thanks for the reply. Could you send me your email address or place I can send you login details? That way I can give you access straight away to our site.
Much appreciated..
Hi quadlayers (@quadlayers)
Hope you had a relaxing time on holiday.
Any chance you can look at this issue I have with system messages being triggered?Would be really appreciated. Thanking you in advance.

In reply to: [Premmerce] Canonical URLsHi Premmerce (@premmerce),
I had another question. Can you tell me if your 301 redirects are written to the .htaccess file, or are they somehow stored within the plugin?
If the plugin is disabled, does it then delete all these redirects?
Thank you

Yes I am talking about the WooCommerce Permalink Manager. However after testing again all seems to be working and I cannot replicate what I saw previously.
So all looks to be good 🙂

Hello danieliser (@danieliser)
Many thanks for the comprehensive reply. Actually I looked at the CSS fix offered and that did the trick, after I changed the right “margin-right” to “0 px”, rather than the suggested 17px. That fixed it for me.
So again thank you…. and there were never any doubts about all the other aspects the plugin offers 🙂
Enjoy the holidays then 🙂
Hi quadlayers (@quadlayers)
For the 5 star review would be nice to have a reply 🙂
