In reply to: [ImageInject] Missing cc iconYeah, that’s not us then. Just wanted to give you a quick tip on how to see if we were the cause or not. Best of luck to you in finding out what the issue is…

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] Cloudflare .htaccess“So, if there are supposed to be Cloudflare settings written to my .htaccess file, what are they? And why won’d W3TC write them in them automatically for me?”
I don’t think there should be. The primary function of W3TC’s plugin is to restore visitor IPs & allow you to turn certain CloudFlare features on or off.

In reply to: [Plugin: w3 total cache] slow website, video player loads lateTry running your site through something like webpagetest.org to see what’s causing the bottlenecks on your site. You won’t be able to take appropriate action without finding out the cause first.
“So my question is twofold: how can I improve my overall load time, and how can I prioritize the video player js loading so that the user can interact with the media sooner?”
Rocket Loader from CloudFlare might help here. Please note that it may impact JavaScript or jQuery negatively at times, so turn it off if you see an issue.

In reply to: Speeding up WP w/ W3TC, MaxCDN, and CloudFlare“1) You can’t/shouldn’t use all three caching plugins together. It’s not a good idea. Also, You’ll most likely need to ask Bluehost about how they have tuned there servers.”
@ Evan Herman Good advice. You’re eventually going to see a conflict and/or give yourself something else to manage or remember.
@mdwilkins voldemortensen’s mention of too many plugins is spot on. How many plugins do you have installed? Too many will most certainly cause performance issues for your site.

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] Where's the Cloudflare CDN integrationI believe W3TC moved how to find it.
The directions I got from a CloudFlare customer were:
Performance > Extensions and activate CloudFlare. Then and only then will the “Network Performance and Security powered by CloudFlare appear in the Performance > General Settings.

In reply to: [Cloudflare] Jetpack not connecting when CloudFlare is activatedHi satankoh666,
Just a quick note that you might want to try whitelisting Jetpack’s IP addresses, if they are able to give them to you, in your CloudFlare Threat Control panel.
As Simon said, it sounds like a security feature is being hit with the requests from them.
Hi sdayman,
Thanks for posting that information (correct).
Hi pbsbluejay,
Sorry about the confusion. The IP addresses used on sites on our network are not static – but shouldn’t change often – and we generally do this if we have to do something to mitigate an attack of some sort.

In reply to: HTTP error when uploading imagesAre any CloudFlare error messages appearing at all? What is the exact error you’re getting?
Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [ImageInject] Missing cc iconJust a quick note that you can see if CloudFlare is the cause at all by simply pausing us in the settings. Taking a quick look at the domain in your profile, however, doesn’t show any features turned on that might impact this (Rocket Loader could potentially impact if the images rely on JavaScript or jQuery…but I see this turned off).

In reply to: Getting a 404 when I try to auto update a plugin“2. When I hit update it goes straight to a /404 page e.g mysite.com/404
3. It then shows a greenish page that says “sorry we couldn’t find what you were looking for” here are some suggestions. A cloudflare page.”
The SmartErrors app only triggers when the page that is being requested is returning a 404. It still means there’s a 404 on your server that you need to address (try turning off the app & you should be seeing a Page Not Found error when you access that page with the app off).

In reply to: My blog won't work without CloudflareThe 503 generally indicates rate-limiting by your server or hosting provider. Have you contacted them?
The simple fact that the issue goes away with I’m Under Attack on leads me to believe you’re getting hit with a botnet or something.

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] Cloudflare not listed anymore?I don’t think CloudFlare should be under the CDN settings in W3TC. Why:
CloudFlare doesn’t operate like a traditional CDN (nothing to add relative to a hostname or subdomain); our service just works when you signup for CloudFlare.
It probably causes more confusion having us in there when there is nothing to configure in that field.

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] Cloudflare & Version 0.9.4I believe they had a change to their UI. This might help you find it?

No, it shouldn’t. Did the solution work for you?
