Does anyone face the same problem of unable to connect to Jetpack when CloudFlare is activated? Below is the error it shows when I try to connect to Jetpack.

Your website needs to be publicly accessible to use Jetpack: site_inaccessible
Error Details: The Jetpack server was unable to communicate with your site [HTTP 406]. Ask your web host if they allow connections from WordPress.com. If you need further assistance, contact Jetpack Support: http://jetpack.me/support/

I had contacted my hosting and they claims that everything is correct on their end. And after testing out deactivating CloudFlare, I will be able to connect again. And will be disconnect when I activate CloudFlare back.

I am running on share hosting in WebHostingHub. Anyone knows how to solve this?

    Thanks

    Hi there,

This is not related to the WordPress CloudFlare plugin, but from what you’ve described it is likely CloudFlare is blocking the request due to a security feature. Best thing you can do is have the Jetpack Support team send you the HTTP request / response headers from the failed request Jetpack is making, and then open a ticket with CloudFlare support so we can help you further.

    Hi satankoh666,

Just a quick note that you might want to try whitelisting Jetpack’s IP addresses, if they are able to give them to you, in your CloudFlare Threat Control panel.

As Simon said, it sounds like a security feature is being hit with the requests from them.

    Hi,
I read that we need to add jetpack IP address to cloudflare whitelist. Does anyone know where to find it?
    Thanks!

You can add their IPs in your CloudFlare Threat Control panel to see if that helps.

But sadly, they are unable to provide me with their IP address. I am still unable to connect to Jetpack till date. Sigh

    Hello satankoh666.

I had the same problem lately. And finally I got the solution:

    1. Log in to your cloudflare and open overview tab.
    2. Under your website status, click advance.
    3. You will see Pause button right under there. Click it
    4. Activate your Jetpack and Connect it.

    Good luck.
