In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] CloudFlare Extension – Useful? The primary reason to put CloudFlare in the plugin is to restore original visitor IP. Given that 1and1 is a partner & they have mod_cloudlare installed, you really shouldn’t have to configure CloudFlare in the W3TC plugin.

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] WHY is Origin a fixed value in the DNS tab?You don’t need to put anything in there relative to CloudFlare (our caching works via file extensions).

In reply to: CDNs & Subdomains for Speed“Site is lovely and fast at the moment and I’ve optimised quite reasonably at the moment but this is the last puzzle and this is the one that’ll cause me to lose hair!”
Glad to hear. Some other quick tips for using WordPress with CloudFlare should help you even more.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: CDNs & Subdomains for SpeedJust a quick note that you probably don’t want to stack CDNs/caching like that for two primary reasons:
1. You’ll increase the risk of a conflict between the services.
2. You’ll have something additional to remember if you’re having items cached at multiple services. If you change a file, for example, you may have to clear something at multiple services.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] CSS HTTP (gzip) compression not functionNot sure if it could be a cause, but CloudFlare also automatically does gzip. What CloudFlare gzips.
I could also see you having an issue if you minify turned on at both CloudFlare and W3TC (will generally create a conflict), so you would want to make sure you have minify turned on in one place.

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] Slow images loadingI can’t address the W3TC questions. You can, however, check if we’re caching something by looking at the response headers. You will see a CloudFlare cache status of some sort in the response, if we’re actually caching the images.

In reply to: [Cloudflare] Cloudflare Script slowing down my siteHi,
It sounds like you’re still pointing to our nameservers (deleting the site from the account doesn’t remove us; you have to change back to your original registrar’s nameservers at your registrar).
Again, however, CDNJS is an optional app/feature that can quite easily be turned off. You didn’t have to completely turn us off if it was just related to that.

In reply to: [Cloudflare] Cloudflare Script slowing down my siteHi,
That isn’t related to the plugin at all (the plugin does not actually activate the CloudFlare service) You have CDNJS turned on in your CloudFlare apps if that is happening. You can turn that off by logging in to your CloudFlare account.
Did you create a support ticket?

In reply to: Visual Editor Not Working after upgrade to 3.9Hi,
While it looks like you may may have been able to fix the issue, I did want to hop in and say that one of our optional performance features (Rocket Loader) may inadvertently break things in the admin section of WordPress. I would consider placing a PageRule in to turn off CloudFlare’s caching and performance features on the wp-admin url.
Can you open a support ticket at CloudFlare.com and include the email? We’ll probably have to have someone on the partner team contact. I can’t tell if they are saying it is an issue with us or Jetpack.
Note: Some other helpful tips for WordPress and CloudFlare that might help reduce some common areas of confusion.
Thanks for reporting the issue to us via support.
Rocket Loader, however, won’t impact minification of JS (different feature). Auto Minify should still work fine.

I would be inclined to say this might be an issue with Rocket Loader. Do you have that on? Does turning that off fix the issue?
It sounds like they may have an outdated version of mod_cloudflare running missing some IPs. Can you have them check to make sure that it has all of CloudFlare’s IP ranges?
“When you enable CloudFlare, specifically the Railgun function, all requests to Apache come from the CloudFlare IP address range. As these IPs are not part of Automattic’s IP range, they are blocked.”
It would seem that this could be solved by putting mod_cloudflare on your server to restore the visitor IP.
Since we act as a reverse proxy for sites, our IPs will show until you install something to restore original visitor IP.

In reply to: [Cloudflare] WHy does Developer Mode not work?“Do I need this plugin if I am going to be using a Certified Partner Host? “
No, since mod_cloudflare should take care of the IP issue (primary reason for installing the plugin).
