In reply to: Forum lag?Not the loading time, I’m talking about the posts actual appearance in my forum. When I post something, it takes 5-10 minutes for the forum to refresh and show that there has been a reply or new topic posted. I refreshed my cache and it showed up instantly, but I don’t want to have to do that all day long when there are other active users. There has to be some other way than just refreshing the cache, I’m just not sure what it is!

In reply to: Plugins Remaining on Site After DeletionWow. That’s great. Thank you for the link. I didn’t even know about that just yet. Anyways, I am currently checking with my host and I believe they will sort out the problem. In the future I will not be putting multiple installations on one domain and different pages like that. I would advise against it from my experience. Alot of login time, too complicated. The solution from the link is exactly what I needed. Thanks again.

In reply to: Plugins Remaining on Site After DeletionI have HostGator, and they offer what is called “QuickInstall”. It’s an application that will install WordPress on your domain or page in a matter of seconds. So what I did was I installed it on my domain, and then I later had certain products that I wanted an entire blog for. So I went into QuickInstall and instead of installing on “www.orttconsulting.com”, I installed WordPress on “www.orttconsulting.com/aboutfiveotherpagesseparatefromthemaindomain”. I recently went in and uninstalled those frameworks, but now the pages are showing nothing but the /index, /wp-admin, etc. links.

In reply to: Plugins Remaining on Site After DeletionThank you esmi. I refreshed the cache and now the plugin problems are gone, however, I’m still not able to access the pages that I previously had WordPress installations on. Any suggestions?

In reply to: Site having sudden and serious problems after updates.I have a lot of plugins and very little time. I suppose I will just wait for WordPress to figure it out. I’m frustrated because I don’t believe in releasing anything that is going to have this amount of problems. How could they not have foreseen this? Will they be releasing another update that will fix these soon or will it be up to the plugin programmers to update their plugins to fit 3.5? If I had known I would have stayed with 3.4. I cannot add images to my posts, I can’t edit their visibility, I can’t add hyperlinks, and I’m sure there’s more I haven’t even come across yet. It’s unfortunate that they are the highest rated and best performing blog framework and they release this glitchy update. A lot of us are trying to run a business and it’s now costing us money and visitors and I’ve never had these kinds of problems with them before. I’m just highly disappointed and my faith in them has been shaken for the first time in the years I’ve been using WordPress. I’ll just wait it out. When can we expect fixes?
