Here are the details of our server configuration:

    Apache Version 2.4.25
    PHP Version 5.6.29
    MySQL Version 5.6.34
    Architecture x86_64
    Operating System linux

Not sure what changes were made by the ISP recently…

By the way, Thom, the second Base Directory is the one I posted another support topic, where I am unable to use the Flightbox attribute, since it seems to block access to certain files in the list. Once I remove the Flightbox attribute, I can display ALL files in the list and access them.

    Hope that helps…

    Hi Thom,

It worked fine, but there is one change that I made recently (last 2 months). I added a second Base Directory which is configured in the Settings for accessing archived copies of our Newsletter (PDFs). Since then, we are unable to upload files to the first base directory, which is the one I referenced in my initial note above.

Further to my note, the issue seems related to Flightbox. If I remove the flightbox and boxtheme attributes from the shortcode, the Directory display works properly and every file in the list can be selected.

Once the Flightbox is added, and the Directory displays, I can not select the first item in the list. Sometimes other items can not be selected also.

As suggested, I changed Minify to Manual Mode. The NextGen slideshow issue goes away, BUT…

My GTMetrix score dropped as follows: PageSpeed went from 96% to 85%. YSlow went from 87% to 77%.

The GTMetrix report identifies over 40 files to be “mionified”. Are you suggesting I have to manually specify all 40 or so files? That ain’t happening. There is a reason I am using a plugin. To make my admin life easier.

Thanks… I specified a Main Volunteer page and now that link has disappeared from the pages displaying the sign-up sheets. That was the KEY.

Also, the $9 was not the issue. I was simply trying to confirm that was my only option. I may still see if our camera club is willing to spring the $$$ to get the Optimizer add-on to make our site even better 🙂

Thanks for your help! Best support I have received on any plugin I use on our site.

I don’t have Volunteer Sign Up Page set to a page (set to None). Also, I don’t have Redirect Sign Ups to Main Page? checked.

Yet the page that has the PTA Shortcode on it, when it displays the sign-up sheet, it always adds “View All Sign-Up Sheets” at the top. I would like to suppress that message because it is not relevant.

It seems that I have to purchase this Optimizer add-on to suppress that message.

Thanks for the quick resolution to the CLEAR link issue.

I am willing to check out the OPTIMIZER if it allows me to clear that message. I have 2 separate pages, each one with a shortcode that calls up their respective sign-up sheet.

One is a potluck social for people to sign-up for contributions and the other is for people to sign up for a Lightroom Workshop. The pages are launched from different areas of the site.

However, when a sign-up sheet page displays, it always shows the link to jump to the other sign-up sheet. I do not want that link since they are out of context in their respective situations. Even if you click on that link, it is a dead end since they system is not aware of the other link.

    Thanks for the prompt response…

Also, when you have a page with a single signup sheet (using sheet ID), there does not appear to be a way to block the following message from displaying “« View all Sign-up Sheets” at the top of the page.

Sorry, I just cleared my browser cache and it works properly now. Thx…

I upgraded to the latest version (2.1.1) and tried to create a new shortcode to test it out. I am unable to add any attributes for the test shortcode.

This version is not working properly.

    (@correiar)

When I actually use the shortcode on a page, I can override the default value specified in an attribute by specifying a string that includes a single apostrophe within the string, such as [test_sc value=”User’s Name”].

It would be nice if the default value could also be specified using the apostrophe, not requiring the html entities.

I found the following workaround works: in place of the single apostrophe, I used the following html entities ' or ' and the text string displays properly.

Thanks for the prompt response and feedback. I did some more testing and I was able to have more than 2 attributes assigned to the shortcode.

I think I figured out what was causing my problem. When I assign a default value to the attribute they all work properly until I add a default value that contains a single apostrophe (‘) in the string.

When I do that, all the attributes disappear. For now, I am leaving out the apostrophe, but let me know if there is a way around that issue. I will continue to do some more testing.

I switched over to Easy HTTPS (SSL) Redirection. It allows me to designate only certain pages (e.g. for payment processing) to SSL. It works without any issues and the pages show as secure now.
