In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] Saving settings flips Opt-out message to plain textHi @paulmcmanus
it looks like a bug indeed. Thank you for pointing this out. We’re going to add a fix to the next update. I’m going to keep this ticket open for now, I’ll reply once the bugfix has been pushed to Github, in case you would like to test it in advance.

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] Customizer doesn’t save settings?Hi Mikael,
are you able to inspect the Network activity in your browser? Every time you move one of the placeholders, your browser will initiate a request to the server to save that new position. Can you see if that is done in your case? Please make sure to clear your browser cache, as we’ve updated our admin javascript code recently.
Keep me posted,
JasonHi, the default position has been reverted to the sidebar, since we received quite a few complaints about moving it to the Admin Bar. You can find the option under:
Slimstat > Settings > General > WordPress Integration
Let me know if that works,

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] Slimstats disappeared from my WP admin menuDear all,
given the amount of confusion created by this change, we’ve decided to go back to the previous default value, as we’re getting many tickets about Slimstat not being accessible in the admin anymore.
Sorry for the inconvenience this might have caused,

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] v4.8.3 : googlebot still loggedWe’ve been considering moving away from Browscap and adopting a different solution. Unfortunately their library has become increasingly unreliable and heavy over time, and there are more nimble alternatives out there. Hopefully this will solve all these problems once and for all!

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] v4.8.3 : googlebot still loggedYou can also use their tool to see how any given user agent string is decoded by their library:
If it says
crawler: falseon the output page, then it means that they don’t consider that user agent string a bot.Best,

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] v4.8.3 : googlebot still loggedSo, it looks like a bug in the third-party library we use to detect browsers. I posted a note on the developer’s Github page, so that they can look into it:
https://github.com/browscap/browscap/issues/2130
In the meanwhile, you can add an exclusion rule in Slimstat to not track any browsers containing Mediapartners-Google in the user agent string. Go to Slimstat > Settings > Exclusions > User Agents, and enter:
*Mediapartners-Google*Keep an eye on the Browscap Github page to see if/when they decide to fix this issue.

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] Error in latest version?Same for that file, it was last updated 3 months ago:
https://github.com/slimstat/browscap-db/tree/master/browscap/browscap-php/src
That’s why I was suspecting that something must have changed on your server. Also because otherwise we would have seen many more users come to these forums to point out the error. It might be that the update didn’t go well. Could you try deleting the entire folder using your favorite FTP client? This folder:
/homepages/20/xxxxx/htdocs/fotos/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/wp-slimstat/browscap-db-master/Then go to Slimstat > Settings > Maintenance and enable Browscap again, and see what happens.
Thank you,
Jason
