In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] Error in latest version?Hi @serpentes
which version of PHP do you have on your website? Please remember that Browscap requires at least version 7.1.
Thank you,

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] v4.8.3 : googlebot still loggedHi,
thank you for the strings. Did you mask the version number in some of them or is that how it was recorded in the database? Just making sure I’m using the exact same user agent in my tests.

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] Exclude few languagesHi @audiorelax
with the Default Filters add-on, pageviews whose language matches one of the excluded languages will STILL BE TRACKED, but will be hidden from your reports. What I can do is to add a new option to the main plugin’s settings to exclude pageviews from being recorded in the first place, based on given languages. This never came up before, interestingly enough! I hope this helps!

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] v4.8.3 : googlebot still loggedthis is quite strange. I’ve personally tested a few user agent strings and they are filtered as expected when the option to exclude bots is enabled. Would you mind sending me some of the user agent strings associated to those pageviews, so that I can run some more tests on my end?

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] URL’s with “?” query does not display the full linkHi @menzer
that URL that you provide as an example is not the standard WordPress URL for pages, which should be:
https://example.com/?page_id=100
I assume you have some third-party plugin that is implementing this feature by looking at the query string attached to the “profile” page to retrieve the corresponding object from the database (custom post type?). Slimstat, for obvious reasons, will only try to convert canonical URLs (like the one I mentioned here above) into page titles. You could implement an add-on that extends this functionality by “teaching” Slimstat how to interpret those URLs and where to find the corresponding title, which would then be displayed in all the reports. Please feel free to contact our support team at https://support.wp-slimstat.com/ if you need help implementing this add-on. We can assist you for a fee.

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] Slimstats disappeared from my WP admin menuHi @nicoco35,
starting from version 4.8.4, the default position of the Slimstat admin menu is inside the TOP ADMIN BAR. You can see it in your screenshot right next to WP Rocket. You can change this behavior by updating the corresponding option in Slimstat > Settings > General > WordPress Integration > Use Admin Bar (OFF).
I hope this helps,

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] v4.8.3 : googlebot still loggedHi @swissspaceboy,
we rewrote this code in version 4.8.4, to make it even more effective and avoid false positives like the one you experienced. Unfortunately, this happens when the Browscap Library doesn’t have a match for a specific user agent. We are introducing a fallback function for situations like this one. The new version is already on Github, if you want to test it in advance.
Cheers,
