We have just setup a CDN in the US. Our main servers are in Ireland. You don’t have to do anything, if you have US users.
Hi @budpierce
Would you consider the load times indicated by GTMetrix & Webpagetest for uc.js to be inaccurate ?
No, they are probably correct for those servers. We will extend with a CDN in the US, and one in Asia, once we reach a more critical mass of users.
Thanks for your input!
Hi @valdinia
The Cookiebot.renew() function renews the users consent state. It doesn’t delete the already-set cookies, nor does it prevent javascript that has already been inserted into the DOM, from execution, until a page reload.
If you wish to have all that, you could declare your own function that calls Cookiebot.withdraw(), Cookiebot.renew() and location.reload();.
Cookiebot is shown on all pages, regardless of your page count. So if your count is 98 today, and 120 in 3 months, the banner will still be displayed.
The page count determines your subscription-level. If you are due to pay for the service we have provided, and do not pay on time, then Cookiebot will stop working.
Hi @dan14,
The script is served from http://consent.cookiebot.com/ and is loaded asynchronously, which means that it does not affect your page loading speed.
Cookiebot (uc.js) is only retrieved the first time that the website is loaded. To increase performance the script is cached in the users browser for 24 hours.
Hi @ryanb4614,
This is possible with our geotargeting feature:
Thanks for the review @davidpietersen !
@anonymized-15502524 I tested your GADWP setup, and it works as it is supposed to.
As far as we know, GADWP will make an integration for Cookiebot in the near future, so that you won’t have to update GADWP manually.
It is often the case that we find cookies which you cannot see in your browser. Some cookies are triggered dynamically based on different criteria, which is not possible to reproduce with a single browser.
The cookies where the initiator is “Webserver” are coming from your backend. Most likely some plugin is setting them.
If you can provide us with a list of active plugins and what theme your are using, we may be able to investigate it further. You can send the list to wpsupport@cybot.com.
Hi @valdinia
Thank you for your input.
Zero is equivalent to session, so that is the closest you can come.
We have added the ability to configure minutes to our idea-list.
Please see the following article on how to mark up GADWP:
If you update GADWP, your changes will be overwritten, which is why you need to patch GADWP again.
In the near future, GADWP will enable direct support for Cookiebot.
Hi @diedhert,
I just checked your site.
Is it correct that you are using this plugin for Google Analytics:

?
Thank you for your answer!
Cookiebot.changed property and removeCookies() method are not documented in https://www.cookiebot.com/en/developer/
could you please add them?We are aware that there are some functions and callbacks missing in our documentation. We will update it as soon as possible. Thanks anyway!
@valdinia we do not delete cookies on individual level.
You can force a page reload and then marketing cookies will be set again, if e.g. statistics have been unchecked, and marketing have been checked. In normal circumstances this will happen automatically as the user browses to another page.
function CookiebotCallback_OnAccept() { if(Cookiebot.changed) //check if new consent has just been submitted { Cookiebot.removeCookies(); location.reload(); } }- This reply was modified 7 years, 11 months ago by cookiebot.
Hi @anonymized-15502524
If you check in Incognito mode, the cookie cache will be cleared.
I just checked your website. Accepted all categories.
The only cookies I see are:
CookieConsent
_ga
_gat
_gid
