So if I don’t want random links appearing, what exactly is the point of the free plugin version?

There are many usages of FREE plugin, but as for you:
1. Open you WordPress dashboard;
2. Select articles suitable to the same category, and add them to this category;
3. Using plugin create linking inside of this category;
(The plugin will create internal linking between added articles)
For example you can push internal link creating directly from “Category’s” page of your WordPress dashboard.
4. Do not forget to change your review for our plugin!

Within PRO plugin it’s possible to have all internal links under own control and create links using relevancy.

Only for EXTERNAL links it will undermine the purpose of links (link SPAM) and NOT for INTERNAL links. For the owner of the site all pages of his site are important and all the subpages should fall into the index of the search engine. Google & other Search Engines knows about it.

1. Create internal linking to show you, that’s technically works (through WordPress rules we can’t make trial version);
2. Create internal linking separately within one or each category;
3. Allows each page of the site to get into the index of the search engine and thereby bring visitors to the site owner;

In the basic and in generally you have not understood how you can use our free Content internal linking plugin.
On internal linking description page of the plugin you can read about linking:

• for one category

If you applied the plugin inside particular category – you will got relevancy by yourself, because in the same category (in normal case) you have posts with the same relevancy.

• for one text

If you have all texts within same thematically direction (the whole site) – you will also need internal linking.

Since you want customize linking OR if you want to get all other possible combinations about internal linking – you need to get PRO plugin version.

As I see you use internal linking plugin completely wrong, as a result you will not get a positive effect.
Also is important to know, that SEO Post Content Links plugin does NOT modified your posts! The plugin creates cache above you existed content and works with the cache.
You do not understand what you are doing.

1. This plugin DOES NOT CHANGE the user source text (doesn’t change content of posts or articles).
2. You need to check your WordPress theme (the template of your website) for errors.
