Do you speak German? the plugin appears to be in German…
Ah, sorry. I didn’t realize that was the actual name, I thought that was what you wanted me to find…
I’ll go check it out.
Apparently the http and https can be changed at htaccess level, I’m not sure that’s the correct name of the file… but something like that.
It looks as if my other site, 0ff-grid-insights.com has the change in the file, and on that site only one page has a critical error.
Thank you for your help
🙂
Hi Nancy,
I began by physically changing each instance of http to https . But that was taking a long time. I have about 100 pages.
InMotion Hosting helped me by installing Remove HTTP and with that my site was secure.
If I deactivate the Remove HTTP plugin, in order to change by hand all instances to //, as per the last line of advice in the Cloudflare article you referenced, then my site will be weirded out for ssl until I finish the massive job of individually changing each reference.
If there is a BETTER search&replace plug-in, why didn’t you tell me it’s name? What is it?
Maybe.
But, you can see that the Critical Errors go up and down, and in each case that they went down, my site ceased to be https. It appeared that the Remove HTTP plugin by Fact Maven had been removed. It would seem that was done because it conflicted with AMP for WP.
I have never had the AMP symbol appear in search.
I am perfectly willing to correct what I am doing wrong, can you tell me what that is?

In reply to: [Montezuma] I’m the only one still asking questions here :-(Hi CrouchingBruin,
I’m sadly not being clear.
The site continues to look fine in terms of the Montezuma icons. The problem is that the little green lock for “Secure” is, or may be, missing in some instances for some people. The thing is, I totally trust your view of it, so if you’ve looked at Inspect for health-boundaries, as you’ve done over the years for me, and you don’t see the problem, then InMotion Hosting may have fixed it. Or, the plugins: Cloudflare Flexible SSL Certificate, and Fact Maven’s Remove HTTP, may have done it.
In either case, when I use Inspect on barbed-wire-justice.com, there are no Mixed Content warnings.
I’m really grateful to you for all your help 🙂

If barbed-wire-justice.com doesn’t show any of the above warnings, and it does not, does that mean that the whole theme, on all of my 5 sites is correct now?Forum: Themes and Templates

In reply to: [Montezuma] I’m the only one still asking questions here :-(The other thing is, my old site, built in SiteBuilder is stil on Yahoo, now Aabaco. The 301 redirects seem to have become a lot slower. Someone has recently put a link to the old page on Pinterest, so I had over 400 visitor get redirected yesterday from that Pinterest link. I think most of them turn into Bounces, since it takes so long.
Was I supposed to close my Yahoo site after some period of time? in order to avoid this problem?
I can’t find the person who pinned it, either, or I could as them to fix the link… 🙁

In reply to: [Montezuma] I’m the only one still asking questions here :-(Okay, it must make my reply disappear when I try to copy to you what Inspect shows me… which is that the Montezuma things are being served as http.
My barbed-wire-justice.com site doesn’t have any warnings in Inspect.
I don’t know how to be able to see my site(s) as others see it/them.

Hi AMP for WP Contributor.
I’ve made a screen shot of my Critical Errors related to AMP for WP so that you can see how my indexed pages have gone down.
So far I have not been able to have AMP for WP work on my site as long as my site is Secure. By that I mean that when you, or someone with AMP for WP, fixes the critical errors, the little green lock no longer appears for my site.
This is why I want to know when AMP for WP will no longer be in conflict with Secure Websites.
To be clear, in order for my site to be Secure it has to have the Remove HTTP plugin by Fact Maven active. Each time, as far as I can tell, that you or someone with AMP for WP has made the Critical Errors go away, they have deactivated the Remove HTTP plugin.
You can see in the graph on my page linked above that there have been very noticeable rises and falls in indexed pages. The rises appear to coincide with the removal of the Fact Maven plugin. The Falls appear to coincide with the reinstalation of the Remove HTTP plugin in order to return my site to being Secure.
I look forward to your help with this problem of AMP for WP appearing to be incompatible with a secure website that needs to use the HTTP plugin, in order to be secure.

No, lancecarr, my site is not working perfectly in AMP for WP.
When my site is secure, with the little green lock, then AMP ceases to work without Critical Errors.
I then am faced with choosing AMP or Secure.
Because my AdSense earnings went up when I made my site Secure, I’m loath to choose AMP for WP over Secure.
As long as there are Critical Errors, you can go to an AMP page of mine, but that page will not be in Google Search for AMP, and as a result no one will come to my AMP pages from Google Search for AMP.
Get it?
Wow, your blog from today, about yesterday and the wind, is Dynamite !!!!
I tweeted it. 🙂
