In reply to: [Quads Ads Manager for Google AdSense] do I have to do my pages one by one?Oh, this is exciting! I’ll try it in a minute… I’m just doing a few things I have to complete.
If it works I’ll thank you again and mark this thread Resolved 🙂
thank you, devnihil, I appreciate your concern.
I have a brain injury, though. So I can’t remember exactly what I’ve just done. I don’t want to try to change things and then get confused and make them worse.
It’s the pits!

In reply to: [AMP] Why does AMP remain slower than Desktop? If it says “deactivate” then it means it is activated. So why do you think I’m not using the Official Google Amp plugin, when it appears via the plugin dashboard that I am?

In reply to: [AMP] Why does AMP remain slower than Desktop?I am using the official amp plugin, so why do you think I’m not???? I’ll go check, but I’m sure it’s still activated…
I still can’t work out how to do a screen shot that will show in the forum. But, this is a text copy:
AMP Settings | Deactivate Enable AMP on your WordPress site, the WordPress way. Version 2.0.11 | By AMP Project Contributors | View details | Contact support | Leave review Enable auto-updates There is a new version of AMP available. View version 2.1.2 details or update now.I haven’t updated because I wasn’t sure it was stable yet. Most of the people on this forum seem very tech oriented and able to deal with problems. I’m not that capable.
It’s sort of irritating when you decide something is answered to your satisfaction (because you wrote it) rather than to the satisfaction of the person who asked the question and needed help.
I kept tinkering with it, and finally found a way to make it let me put the image back. It wasn’t letting me do that at first.
I think it would be grand if you had a way to not have the date show on PAGES. Let me know if you actualize that.

In reply to: [Quads Ads Manager for Google AdSense] do I have to do my pages one by one?Visibility makes me select one page to show the ad on, if I don’t it says I have to “Select At Least One Visibility Condition… and if I don’t it won’t finish and show the ad at all.
Plus, do I really have to select each and every type of browser and android and iphone in order to make it work. It takes a quarter of an hour just to set the conditions…
How can I have the ads show on ALL my pages without doing this setup individually for each page??????????
Thanks. I used it on a few sites, and was considering buying again. But, I doubt it would be useful.
Thanks. It’s more a matter or decided whether I use Yoast again, and pay for Pro again, or not. I think I’ll go with other options.
Thank you.

In reply to: [AMP] Why does AMP remain slower than Desktop?Wherever it was that I checked on my sitemaps for my sites…
Are you the person who took offense at me still being able to get AMP coverage from having been in the google AMP study group years ago… I need to find that thread.
I paid for Yoast pro, or whatever it’s called, and the sitemaps were NOT reaching google.
I haven’t bought the premium Yoast since the failures. Though it did provide a neat image manipulation thing.
Sigh

In reply to: [AMP] Can I stop using auto ads and still use Amp and Site Kit?why do you mark things resolved when the person with the question needs more information?
I have not seen the auto ads settings that you posted. I looked for settings, and found none. I’m not sure why they would be so hard to find.
Also, on my very long pages auto ads were doing two ads. I don’t really understand how they are configured…
And, they seem to only show one ad… in different places. The ads also seem to be something Google is pushing, rather than something related to what the person who is using the page had been searching for using Google search…

In reply to: [AMP] Why are my AMP pages 14 times slower than my desktop? You’re such a Knight In Shining Armor!!!!!
Thank you.
I spent a lot of time looking at my pages in search, and they have the lightening bolt now.
But I’m not getting the traffic I previously did. So I’m rewriting my pages so that the google quote is more like those that get better positioning.
Do you know, when I began my site it was the only one with fingernails and health… and now there are dozens of pages, to include Mayo Clinic, that have pages like mine… I suppose I’m flattered, but I want to regain some of my traffic because my pages are better re information…
I do wonder why my stats don’t show referrals from cdn.ampproject.org. When I was in the google study group re amp years ago, and then after that when I published a new blog page my site got 60 or more “referrals” from that cdn. But then I talked about it on this forum and someone must have decided to stop it, and it did stop. I was crushed.
I’m copying your reply to my computer so that I can easily go back to the information. I really appreciate the help you’ve given me.
As an aside, when I was checking out search, most sites that were listed pages of results before my site… did NOT have the amp lightening bolt… [redacted]
The only thing I don’t understand is why my Adsense income is almost entirely from desktop… Previously the vast majority of my visitors came via mobile… so I continue to thing that something is… w r o n g.

In reply to: [Primer] how can I make my blog posts not say PRIVATE?If you clicked on the twitching eye, then it said Private Blog.
But I found a thing that explained how to fix it. I didn’t understand it for a long time, but then when I kept trying it worked.
Thank you so much for looking into it. I appreciate it!
Hi Ahmed, It’s the ads one, but I like the way my Google AMP site looks. So I’ll stick with it despite the fact it doesn’t appear to be nearly as fast as your amp with the Cache extension.

In reply to: [AMP] Why are my AMP pages 14 times slower than my desktop?Thank you so much, Mr. Ruter.
I was afraid to update. I appreciate you laying my fears to rest. Next week sounds good.
I do wonder if my site is actually AMP.
Since I turned off Auto Ads my old ads are showing on my mobile pages the same way as on my desktop pages.

In reply to: [AMP] Why are my AMP pages 14 times slower than my desktop?WoW… I just realized that one of your images is for AMP. I didn’t know GTMetrix could do amp. Is that how you have to write it, /?amp with no final slash?
Really and truly, is that an AMP test????
This is wonderful to know… Thank you so so SO much!!!!!
