@buro-86, can you try regenerating the archive name? You should be able to do this by editing your job, and on the general screen, just hitting save. Delete the old backups as you wish from before 3.4., and let me know if the newer ones are deleted as they should be.
@macb, are the backups with the new name being deleted okay? This is intentional behavior that it will not accept the old name. It requires the format so that it can track which files belong to it. You will have to manually delete the old archives.

In reply to: [BackWPup – WordPress Backup & Restore Plugin] Error on backup attempt@elitewebservices, can you check with your host that there are no restrictions on wp-cron? Are you able to visit wp-cron.php directly?
@irolfpro, we have heard from another user that if you hit save on the general tab of your job, it should then work as it will normalize the archive name. Please try this and let us know if it works.

In reply to: [BackWPup – WordPress Backup & Restore Plugin] 3.4.0 bugs@grammarphobe, okay this is a bug, and I have found the root cause. So it will definitely be fixed in the next version. For now it is not harming anything so I would not worry about it.
You could try excluding the parent folder in the meantime if you don’t need that folder in your backup.

In reply to: [BackWPup – WordPress Backup & Restore Plugin] Dropbox API ErrorHi @sterndata, indeed that is the issue. This bug will be fixed in the next version, but in the meantime you can either set a destination folder, or contact us and we’ll give you an updated file that fixes this bug.

In reply to: [BackWPup – WordPress Backup & Restore Plugin] 3.4.0 bugsHi @grammarphobe,
#2 is intended behavior. There is a warning now shown beside the file deletion field that says exactly this: that old archives will not be deleted from prior to 3.4.0. You will have to delete those yourself, but from here forward the files will be deleted correctly.
#1 will require a bit more information. What directory is the link file in? Did you exclude it by excluding its folder, or putting the name of that file in the list of files to exclude?
@ssgupta I think further debugging will require direct access to your site. Would you be willing to grant us temporary access to wp-admin and FTP? If so, please send the necessary information to support [at] backwpup.com and we’ll be sure to look at it today.
@ssgupta did you enable debug mode before running this job? Throughout the log you should be seeing things like
Call to xxx with parameters ...@ssgupta, can you also generate a debug log of this job? Under BackWPup > Settings > Logs, set Logging Level to Debug (non translated). Then run the job again.
I only need the part of the log after:
Backup transferred to /...@ssgupta can you tell me the archive name set under your general job settings?
Is your destination folder set, or are you storing backups in the root folder?
@all yes we’re working on fixing the bug and it’ll be in the next release.

In reply to: [BackWPup – WordPress Backup & Restore Plugin] Error on backup attempt@elitewebservices, what do you get under information > Server self connect?
@irolfpro, are you using the folder destination then? And is there anything in your logs giving errors or warnings?
