Hi @wpchameleon
If you want to send me a link to your site at cheffernan@hubspot.com I can take a look. Please refrain from sharing any login info to your WordPress website as it is HubSpot policy never to access our users personal accounts.
Best,
Conor
Hi @wpchameleon
Apologies, I had missed the plugin / firefox version in your previous message. These are the same versions I was using to test and as I mentioned (see screenshot here), I can see the post request being sent to HubSpot when the form is submitted on my side and a contact is created.
I do not doubt that you are indeed experiencing an issue but it seems to be a problem with the form in question as opposed to a wider problem with how HubSpot is collecting forms.
Would you be able to send me a link to the page in question. I will try to debug the form submission and see if the post request is being suppressed for some reason.
Best,
Conor

Ah I see. I think you should be able to use Zapier to do something like this.
- Connect your WordPress site to Zapier.
- Create a new Zap and choose the trigger “New User” in WordPress.
- Set up the trigger by selecting the WordPress site and specifying the subscriber role.
- Choose an action to perform, such as sending an email, adding the subscriber to a mailing list, or updating a spreadsheet.
- Test the Zap and turn it on to start firing events whenever a new subscriber is added in WordPress.
Zapier integrates with HubSpot and can allow you to create a contact. Details here.

Hi @wpchameleon
If I am understanding correctly.
Expected: after submitting the form in firefox with the email anatoleyz+21@gmail.com a new record will be created.
What is happening: no new record is created. Repeating this process in chrome does create a new record.
Is that correct? If so could you tell me what version of firefox / the HubSpot wordpress plugin you are using? As I mentioned I have repeated these steps on my side and was able to create a contact so might be an issue with a specific version or another plugin. More. information could narrow down the cause.

Hi @wpchameleon ,
When I tried to reproduce this error by submitting a form via firefox, I could not. Submitting a form from contact form 7 did indeed create a new contact in my HubSpot CRM.
Some things I would suggest you could try:
- Do a submission in a firefox incognito window: the form submissions are based on cookies so if you have previously submitted a form in firefox and go to submit a second form, you will be recognised as the same user and thus update an existing contact instead of creating a new one. Doing the submission in an incognito window should relieve this issue.
- Make sure there is nothing strange going on with your non-hubspot forms settings. Linked here is an article about updating the mapping between your non-HubSpot form and form contact fields. I would double check that this is all as it should be.
I’m sorry I cannot be of more assistance. If there error still persists after trying these two things if you would be so good as to make a screen recording of you experiencing the error providing details such as:
- HubSpot plugin version
- Firefox version
- What you expect to happen vs what is happening
That would be helpful in moving this forward.

Conor

Hi Rajeevbagra,
Marking this as resolved as I noticed you have submitted two more support issues. I am assuming that you managed to update the setting in question here. Let me know if you have any more issues with this setting.
Best,
Conor
Hi Rajeevbagra,
I think there might be a bit of confusion between WordPress users and HubSpot contacts. Typically you would not want to sync these two things.
HubSpot contacts are a way to keep track of all of your website visitors (the public) that interact with your business (or website). Typically a business with a WordPress website would have a large number of contacts. These are not admins on your HubSpot portal.
WordPress users are users that have access to update your WordPress site. Typically you would have a small number of users on a WordPress sites user list. The number of editors on your website is probably not going to increase so quickly that you would want an automated workflow to create a contact for each new user. If you create a contact for each WordPress user, you can of course create a list and group these contacts separately to your other contacts.
I feel like perhaps what you are trying to achieve is every time you add a new admin user on your WordPress website, you would like them to also be added as an admin user to your HubSpot portal? Is that correct? This would involve a different process though not contacts. Happy to explore this more if that is what you are trying to do. If not, could you please provide more details about your objective and perhaps I can be of further assistance.
Best,
Conor
Hi Rajeevbagra
If you are interested in any of the HubSpot plans you can check out this page. On this page you can see all the features that you can access in your current portal and features available on every HubSpot plan. There is also a facility to use a free trial for 14 days on many product tiers which might be of interest to you (no credit card required to avail of this).
All the features you listed should be available on all product tiers (including free)
https://knowledge.hubspot.com/crm-deals/create-dealshttps://knowledge.hubspot.com/tickets/create-tickets
https://knowledge.hubspot.com/crm-setup/automatically-create-and-associate-companies-with-contacts
It seems like you are struggling to locate all the features which are available to you in your HubSpot portal for free. If I might make a suggestion the HubSpot Academy is packed full of free resources you can use to help level up your HubSpot knowledge.
Alternatively another option is to connect to a HubSpot sales rep on that first link that I sent you. We would be more than happy to talk through your specific product needs. I suspect there is a paid onboarding package you could avail of which would empower you to make better use of the platform and maybe secure for you a dedicated support rep so you are not reliant on using the WordPress support forum for help with these matters (HubSpot support would be a lot faster).
I hope these links are helpful to you with respect to getting to use the features you are interested in. Let me know if there is anything further.

Conor

Hi @wpchameleon ,
I will check with our forms team whether this is a known bug and try to reproduce the error on my side in the meantime. I will update you once I know more information.
Best,
Conor
Hi Rajeevbagra,
It looks like you have the chat flow configured to display certain hours of availability. You can update this in your inbox settings here:
(if your data is based in the EU):
https://app-eu1.hubspot.com/l/live-messages-settings/inboxes/OR ELSE
https://app.hubspot.com/l/live-messages-settings/inboxes/
then:
- Hover over chat and click edit
- On the next screen you should see an availability tab. Click this
- You can update the setting here.
Loom demo of these instructions here. Let me know if you have any further issues.
Best,
Conor

Hey @rayeason,
As this thread has been inactive for a while, I’m gonna go ahead and mark it as resolved. Let me know if you experience any further issues. If you are enjoying using the plugin, it would mean a lot to use if you would leave us a review. Best of luck with your website!

Hey @rayeason,
If you are looking to center the form you can do so using layouts. If you are using the Gutenberg block builder simply select columns and choose a layout that has a centered component. You will be able to add the form to the center column which will have the effect of centering it on the page.
I would also suggest targeting the iframe container using css and increasing the width of this if you would like to make the form larger.
If you would completely like to customise the form, you have the option of just including the raw html of the form in your page from the from builder. When you do this the form will no longer be iframed and you can customise it using your own css.
Hopefully one of these solutions solves your problem.
Best,
ConorHey @happybrain ,
I see this thread has been inactive for a couple of days. I’m going to mark as resolved. Let me know if you require any further assistance. Also if you are enjoying using the plugin, we would really appreciate if you could leave us a review.
Best,
ConorUnfortunately there is no way to have local updates to your plugin persist across updates as far as I am aware. It is possible to disable auto updates so that you can control the frequency that you need to make the change at.
If it was possible for Iubenda to use a custom class then you could use a pre-existing class in the HubSpot script. If you do need to use Iubenda, I would recommend talking to their team about how to listen for changes to the users consent and you could use the HubSpot tracking code api to toggle tracking on and off based on whether the user had consented then.
Best,
ConorHi @happybrain,
If you would like to set up a privacy policy you can do so in your hubspot settings. Follow the steps in this link (search for “Customize your default cookie policy” on this page):
This will allow you to set up a consent banner in your hubspot settings with no need for an extra plugin as shown in this image. Copy and colour scheme are customisable (as well as countries where this banner will show and pages that it will show on).
I am not very familiar with Lubenda and not sure what you mean by a preventative block. You mean you would like to prevent the tracking until the user clicks the Lubenda banner? If this is the case you may want to use the HubSpot tracking code api to prevent tracking until the user has opted in to tracking. I would recommend the HubSpot tracking banner as detailed above as the more easy solution however.
Let me know if this is helpful or if I have misunderstood your query, I would be happy to help you out further.
Best,
Conor
