Are you referring to the “Slideshow” type for galleries? That is separate from Carousel, which is the full-screen zoomed in view that opens after you click on an image in a gallery.
That’s great!
Did you recently change the way your WordPress installation is set up? Or has it been in a wordpress/ subdirectory for a long time? For some reason, Jetpack had your WordPress URL as just “http://furiousnads.com” instead of “http://furiousnads.com/wordpress”, so I’ll need to figure out why that happened.
While I’m working on this, can you try disconnecting and reconnecting to WordPress.com from the Jetpack dashboard?
Thanks for the report; I was able to reproduce the problem on your blog as well. Would you mind posting a screenshot of the top portion of your Settings > General page? Specifically, the “WordPress Address (URL)” and “Site Address (URL)” settings. If you don’t want to post a screenshot, you could paste the values for those two settings.
gazouteast: Have you tried temporarily disabling other plugins and switching to a stock theme to see if the problems persist?
I’ll repeat this Christopher as you didn’t pick up on it earlier …
The short answer is that the URL that is displayed in the status bar is irrelevant in this situation. You can confirm it on any stock WordPress installation.
Basvanderveen, what other plugins do you have installed?
deiseach: Simple Slideshow includes its own custom version of five different JavaScript libraries rather than using the already-available versions that ship with WordPress. I’ll send a note to the author to request that it not do that.
gazouteast: I’m not shifting blame; I’m just trying to get enough information in order to fix the problem. What theme are you using?
paulbienkowski: What was the other plugin?
deiseach: Can you try disabling your other plugins and see if that temporarily fixes the problem? If so, can you let me know which plugin did it?
gazouteast: That error wouldn’t be coming from Jetpack; what other plugins do you have installed?
deiseach: What is the URL of your site?
Thanks for the report; I’ve made a note to look into this.
Thanks for the report; we’ll get this fixed.

Can you post the URL of your site? Then I can look into the kissmetrics/quantserve/cloudfront requests.
