  • Done as you directed above. Setting IV 3. working set as “running”.
    No other issues for me.
    Thank you very much!

    Hi Jacob,

I just changed the setting at IV 3. back to “running” so you can see that my slides don’t show using that default setting. I will leave it like that for a couple hours if necessary and will watch this posting to see if your have any further comments.

I very much appreciate your time and efforts. Your plugin has been great for our little non-profit.

    Thank you.

Hi, thanks for checking my site. I finally got it to work last night and didn’t get back to comment. It seems (though I am not sure how many other changes I made to the settings and don’t really understand what they all do), that I got it to work by selecting “still at first photo” in Settings Table IV 3. with the “startslideonly” option checked in 3.1. If I select “running” (the default) in IV 3., I get the blank space where the photo should be. Previously, I had the slideshows running on their own but that doesn’t seem to work anymore. I would appreciate knowing why but am happy to have the photos visible as is for now.

I did deactivate, uninstall and delete the plugin a least a couple of times during my debugging efforts. The last time I reinstalled it, I deactivated my “All In One WP Security” plugin during the install just in case it was affecting anything. Also cleared browser history several times and reviewed your recommendations for “responsive” themes.

I would appreciate knowing why the default “running” setting doesn’t work. Seems like a memory overload issue? Should I uncheck IV 14 “Inline Styles”?

    Thanks for the assistance

I also just upgraded to 5.4.21 and lost all my slideshows. This is the first time I ever had a problem with an update of this plugin. It has been great for me as a non-techie who has volunteered to maintain a non-profit website.

The images just are aren’t showing up on slideshows. Just an empty space with the grey bar underneath where the description should be.

If you use “album” instead, you see all the images in the album but when you hover over them, only a vertical grey bar shows instead of the whole enlarged image.

Tried deleting and re-installing plugin, clearing cache. Running most current version of wordpress, have not added any plugins which weren’t already installed and working with WPPA prior.

I hope the fix is something simply.

Thank you Jacob. I don’t know what a various test is but will research it and alternative themes. Could you explain what a various test briefly for a novice? I am wary of switching themes and running into even more troubles but assume I can just reinstall my posts, pages, categories, comments, etc. and be almost “good-to-go” Will my photo albums remain intact if I change themes?

    Many thanks.

Looks like the latest upgrade of Contact Form 7.3.1.1 today fixed my problems for the photo upload issues and confirmations/errors messages are now working. Many thanks!!

I have been frustrated by this same issue for days. However, it seems to work better on my local host than the live site. I get error messages when forms are incomplete instead of just the spinning arrow when submit is clicked on my local host. On the live site, the arrow spins endlessly no matter what is put on a form if it has a photo upload component. As I am a mere WordPress novice, I guess I will just try to downgrade CF7 to 3.02.1 as well. Can anyone point to simple directions for how to do it manually?

I have the same problem with the spinning arrow and no confirmation/error messages on my contact form 7 forms but only where I use the photo upload option. The other forms seem to work correctly. The forms also seem to work correctly on my local host version but not on the live site. I recently updated my Suffusion theme (v. 4.0) and Contact Form 7 (3.1). Can I try renaming instead of deleting the contact-form 7.js file as jonm173 suggests above in case I need it back? What is the root folder? Is that just the Contact Form 7 folder in the plugins folder? As you can tell, I am definitely a novice when it comes to this stuff. Any help would be much appreciated.

Did anyone resolve this yet. I have updated versions of Contact Form 7 (version 3.1) and WordPress (version 3.3.1.) and am using the latest version of Suffusion. Forms work fine unless I to use file upload code in forms. Then the submit button just results in spinning arrow even if nothing is placed in form at all. If I do fill in the form the email is sent but no confirmation message and the arrow continues to spin until you refresh the page.

I would love to know the remedy. I have looked all over the web for a remedy hoping for a relatively easy fix (as I am merely a novice user).
