In reply to: [Luminescence Lite] style list itemsLet’s try that again…
I have been unable to find a way to successfully change the styling of the list items on the pages. I did manage to restyle a few links within a list, but the same path (minus the a tag) failed to affect the list. I also went to the extreme of calling out the entire path as identified in Google+ inspect element, also to no effect. The same for creating a special callout in Easy Google Fonts plugin. The site I am working on is here.
What do I need to do to gain style control over the
li’s?Thank you

In reply to: [HMS Testimonials] changing font-size in rotating widgetI had to take some time off from this, so apologies for the delay.
This worked perfectly and opened the door for me to style the “read more” and the author as well.
Thank you!

In reply to: [Luminescence Lite] tiled galleries conflictYahoo! It is fixed!
I am not at all sure what changed, but I tried switching to the parent Luminesence Lite theme, and this did not fix the problem. I went back to the child and examined the Jetpack post that is working and experimented more. The next time I checked a post it was back to being a proper tiled gallery. While I would like to know what caused it, I am very relieved to be able to cross it off of the list and move on.
Thank you!

In reply to: [Luminescence Lite] tiled galleries conflictPost #1= ‘Before and After – Dr P’s Office’ created before Jetpack’s tiled gallery broke
Post #2= ‘Test-Jetpack’ – created today with the gallery post format restored

In reply to: [Luminescence Lite] tiled galleries conflictThat helped, but it only gets it part way. I have another test post called ‘jetpack test’, now 2nd in the posts queue, that shows what happens. The gallery option did indeed come back (so simple if you know where to look…!) but the tiles feature is still broken. The ‘Before and After – Dr P’s Office’ post that follows shows how it should be behaving.
I can’t help but have a suspicion that some little piece of the Jetpack code that changed could be contributing here. When I first ran into the problem and began searching the forum I found that others have the same issue with the gallery breaking.
I understand that this could take a bit of time to sort out and really appreciate any little step forward. Thank you for this

In reply to: [Luminescence Lite] tiled galleries conflictSince this is where it all started I will use the tiled gallery in Jetpack as the example. There is one post up on the site for “Dr P” that used this gallery. Then updates happened and the ‘gallery’ option disappeared from the list of formats in the Post editor. At that point it became impossible to add any additional galleries.
The others I have tried all had the same or similar problems. The Tiled Gallery without Jetpack might as well have been invisible. The Inpost Gallery let me make a gallery, but then it wouldn’t insert the shortcode.
It is very weird because the Jetpack gallery was perfect —and working— until the theme and Jetpack upgrades. Jetpack support said it was a theme problem and that they would be happy to help.
I do have a new premium plugin installed now that has allowed me to successfully post a second ‘test’ gallery. Jetpack was easier to use, and this one has a new set of issues where the images aren’t displaying the selected settings. Since it is premium the plugin developer is going to take a look at that one, but it is clear that something has gone wrong in the image handling department. I hope we can get Jetpack back into the mix.
Does this help?

In reply to: [Luminescence Lite] tiled galleries conflictI am trying other plugins to see if I can find one that isn’t being affected. So far the list of galleries that don’t show successfully in Posts is:
- Jetpack
- Tiled Galleries Without Jetpack
- Responsive Grid Gallery
- Inpost Gallery (different problem—shortcode won’t insert after gallery created)
I’ve found a premium plugin author who says he always tries to find a fix, so I will probably try that next.
Ok, I understand and appreciate that it’s on your list. Thanks
Perhaps a conditional statement?? It works quite well otherwise. Can you give any kind of estimate about how soon a redesign might be?

In reply to: [Tiled Galleries Carousel Without Jetpack] Invisible plugin?I have determined that this is a theme issue and am taking it up with the theme author.
— and a second update. After contacting the theme developer he has determined this to be a theme issue because of a built=in equal height script. He’s going to work on a fix from his end.
I took some time off from this and have now changed the accordion to the one included in Shortcodes Ultimate. The bad news here is that it has exactly the same problem with mobile that the first one did.
The lower parts of the accordion ride over or under the footer content. While I don’t have to stick with this one, I am also concerned that this is going to happen to any and all of the other accordions. I have also reached out to the plugin authors, but since there is a pattern I am hoping that you will take another look.
Thank you
So there is an update to the situation, and I’m not sure where this is going to lead. I tried switching to Twenty Thirteen to work out a different issue and found that with that theme (which has no footer widgets) the mobile issue is solved. None of the default themes have robust footers, so it’s not exactly a fair contest.
I’ve switched it back to our child theme and hope that either you or the theme developer can come up with a solution. Otherwise it looks like I’m going to need to go accordion shopping again…

In reply to: [HMS Testimonials] changing font-size in rotating widgetSadly, I think that’s an option I tried before. There is no change, and it doesn’t make sense. I wondered if it might have something to do with being dynamic which is beyond me… Any other suggestions?
